Lindner Hotel Cologne City Plaza

The location is very good, you can easily walk to the center.The hotel and furniture in the room are a bit old but kept in a good condition. The lights are very well placed.The bathroom is very modern and clean.THE BED was amazing, so comfortable… the mattress, pillows, the sheets - this was the most valued detail for us.Great breakfast, a lot of options with very qualitative products - another big +I would definitely stay here again!

Just 2 observations: 1. The fact that you don’t have any place to hang your coat in the room. I would suggest to put a hall stand/coat rack in the hall because there is a lot of space that is not used at all. Also the wardrobe in the room is quite small and if you have your coats wet or even bigger coats there is no place to put them separately. That is why the coat rack/hooks are so much needed.2. The bathroom glass door - although modern and nice it doesn’t give you the privacy you sometimes need.

Good location, easy commute from the main station and to the city center. Room was pretty clean and the beds decently comfortable for the night. Shower pressure was nice.

I stayed at Lindner Hotel Cologne City Plaza recently. Overall, it was a fair experience. The breakfasts were definitely the highlight — really enjoyed the variety and quality!However, there were two main issues:1. The air conditioning was only blowing cold air, and the heating wouldn't work, which made the room uncomfortable.

2. The security deposit still hasn't been returned to my account, even though it’s been 3 weeks since I checked out. This is quite disappointing.It’s an average hotel with a good location, but the delay with the deposit is a serious concern. I hope the management resolves this soon.

The design of the room was quite nice: comfortable puffy bed and very soft bed sheets; finely renewed bathroom with electric-regulated shower, nice shade lamps. very quiet as well, "overlooking" an inner space. Very frindly young woman at the reception, the same person at check in and check out.

The room had clearly had someone smoking in it. The smell of cleaning fluids used to cover the smell made it worse. The hotel and rooms were not in great condition although clean.

Breakfast was good but some glasses were found with chips on the rim making them unsafe. The staff were not particularly helpful or friendly.Hotel feels dated.

Linder hotel was lovely, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. It was a 20 mins walk from the main railway station and the cathedral. Excellent location for the Christmas markets. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the complimentary hot fruit punch and biscuits in reception every day was a nice touch. The bedroom was spacious and the shower was high powered, high tech but simple to use. Breakfast offered a hugh selection including freshly cooked eggs and omelets which were delicious; also served Costa coffee which was a plus. I booked a small group of rooms and one room had an odour issue from the air conditioning?? As the hotel was fully booked it was not possible to relocate but the receptionist ensured there was additional cleaning to try to resolve the issue and there was a partial refund of the hotel cost. Our stay was excellent and would return to The Lindner when visiting Cologne again.

Breakfast was served in a conference hall on Christmas day. Cold, no atmosphere because they were setting up the dining area for a Christmas lunch. Charging us €19.50 per person for a very mediocre breakfast in a cold, stark setting wasn’t really worth it. We were expecting something a bit more special.

Comfortable room with queen bed and lounge chair. Excellent shower with digital control of water temperature, overhead rain shower and multi-function hand held shower. Breakfast buffet was beyond expectation with just about anything you'd want for hot and cold food. Exercise room was well equipped with adjacent sauna room, bathrooms with lockers, showers and plenty of towels and even slippers to wear in the sauna to walk on the hot surface. Truly a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Hard to find anything not to like. Outlets on both sides of the bed is about the only thing we found lacking.

I liked the staffs' friendliness and initiative. I liked the warm wine they offered, it was good!

The fried potato shreds for breakfast were a bit dry, probably because breakfast starts at 6 a.m. the rest was all good!

Very good location 2 blocks to the S Bahn and 2 stops from the train station.Loved the Rain Shower with Digital Temp Controls. I want one in our house, now.

Room was warm even though we set the thermostat to the coolest possible setting. So in December we had to sleep with the window open.

Great choice for breakfast. Good showers great location. Comfortable beds although some furniture looked a little jaded
