Rhein Hotel St. Martin

Only merit of this hotel is its location adjacent to the Rhein river.

1. No elevator, need carry luggage up to four floors; 2. Very noising at night, parties with people drinking, smoking, loudly chatting in front of the hotel seems endless; 3, Room condition is very poor, the old carpet smells strong;

I appreciated that my family of 6 was able to stay in two rooms that were attached. We also booked a room for my Mom that we had to travel a bit to get to, but it wasn't awful.

The carpets probably need to be replaced, but the rest of the benefits of the hotel were worth enough to compensate for that.

Included breakfast wasn’t as showed in announcement! The breakfast in the pictures was paid, and the included one was just one cold pastry and coffee! Room was cold and noisy

Staff was not helpful. Toddler running on floor above at midnight and NOT addressed - gave me earplugs.

Rooms are very small

Good location, pretty good sized room for family of 5 with 3 teenage boys.

Pretty expensive, Cologne wasn't that great besides the cathedral.

Location was good. Hotel was comfortable and clean.

The in-house facilities available were not explained adequately, we could have made more use of them if we had known. The emphasis was more on receiving a free drink upon giving a good review of the hotel. This request for a review was pushed upon us repeatedly. Entrance steps were very narrow, with no handrail and were difficult to traverse.

Location was great for the Christmas markets and tours on the Rhine. Close to the train station.

Repeated requests for a good review in exchange for a free drink. Dirty linen left in the corridor for several hours as we passed in and out of our room. We were with family members who despite paying the same price as us had a much roomier room with desk etc. Lots of noise from the bar outside our room late into the night/morning….rooms not sound-proof. Air con didn’t work as expected to. Snooze and you lose for the pastries at breakfast.

The room is great, comfortable bed, new interior and clean. The location is great, just no parking close by

The staff wasn’t very friendly. We had use both elevator and stairs to get to our room, not very convenient with suitcases

The location was great. The room decos were nice and junior suite was spacious even with kids.

The coffee cups were a little dirty. The carpet was also stained and dirty. Perhaps could provide water daily. A little pricey.

Bicycle tourists stay away. All in all one big scam

No place to park your bicycle, even though on Google they came up as bicycle friendly. No breakfast, it had to be ordered in from a 3rd party. Total scam.

The suite accommodated our family of 5.

We arrived early for check in to store luggage. But when we returned at check in, room still was not ready. We were sent next door for 10% off drinks while we wait where service was bad, as were the drinks.Our air conditioning was leaking (although the young man that came in was wonderful, no room comp or discount was offered). Additionally the toilet seat was not attached well and moved when sat on, and the soap dispenser was broken.

Great location and clean.

Just a bit expensive for a small room, but the location is a big attraction. My room was in the adjoining building which meant that I could not take the elevator all of the way to my room, so it was annoying to carry my bags up a flight of stairs. There was a very small free breakfast available, but the facilities could not handle many people. Otherwise, it was a good choice for a short stay.

Its on the Rhein althought I chose a river view ... it was on the side and barely seen... it was misleading

They false advertise they have parking and they donts ... I had to pay my parking it was just Discounted. If I knew they didnt have parking, I wouldnt have booked.Also I paid river view and I got a side view with barely some room to see tge river... this too was misleading
