Garner Hotel Cologne East by IHG

The hotel/room was clean and quiet and the staffs were very helpful with the questions I had for the city.

Room and brkfst.

It was carnival week, and I didn't know. The rate was higher because of it and I was not able to enjoy my stay because everything was closed for the carnival, including the Cathedral and the museums. I left one day earlier and I was not refunded for the last night. Booking.com should have some alerts for special events as big as the carnival in Cologne when searching/booking.

Good breakfast

Problems with not the correct room and hot water. All was fixed by staff. Parking space is very unorganized.

The hotel is close to the motorway and it is easy to access

Says they have parking but it's very small with limited spaces. When we arrived there was no space available. We squeezed the car between the footpath and the green and still had to pay €10 for the car park. Room we had was very small.

Karam The receptionist was extremely kindly and helpful, he help me a lot.

Cold room, but if you ask an heater you can have it.No fridge

There was no heating in my room, I was freezing.. I have to wait for invoice long time, staff hardly prepare it. The guy on reception was pleasent but did not know how to do it.

Over the years the staff have just got worse and worse, trying to get a invoice for your stay is hard work and I’ve had this issue a couple times before but now I’ve got to the point that I’ve cancel all further stays

Very good location.

We booked a "Queen" room at the hotel, which looked very decorative in the photos. Instead, we got a so-called double bed pushed together with 2 daybeds, a nightstand, bare white walls, torn curtains, a desk, the whole room looked like a dorm room. We spoke to the reception, where we were informed that they couldn't give us another room right now, we would bring our luggage down tomorrow morning, and after the room was cleaned, we could occupy the other room in the afternoon, but it wouldn't be any different. It wasn't nicer or more comfortable. So we gave up on this option. It was a terrible disappointment, in terms of value for money we really didn't get what we paid for.

Very friendly staff , they spoke good English . German Breakfast was nice and staff were on hand to make sure everything was in order . Bedroom was clean and whole experience was very good value for money and would stay again if in köln.

Tv remote needed new batteries but not a big deal as didn’t watch tv and probably could have asked reception if we wanted to.

Amazing choices for breakfast,clean and warm room,quiet place.

Dirty rooms, old furniture, no fridge in room, trash wi-fi connection, poor breakfast, old smell in room, screeching bed, heating broken, old shower with 2 valves

Breakfast was fair enough and they kept charging empty dishes, location far from center but lovely erea

Could be better if they provide tooth paste, as travelers I lost my tooth paste at airport and they didn t have any.

The bed makes noise when you move during sleeping.

Huge bathrooms!!! Friendly reception staff. Brilliant restaurant down the road (Roco's). To be highly recommended. Good selection for breakfast.

Rude staff on receiption Room was dirty, dust all over tea tray, food under my daughter's bed.Several cockroachs climbing up the walls?. Our family room was on the top floor and the heat was unbearable.Would not recommend and would ne er stay again.

Breakfast was delicious. The parking is cheap and does not require reservation.

The room had a very strong smell, and there were some spiders in the bathroom.

Not saticfying in total as a 4 star hotel!

There was a cockroach in the bathroom, the safe box was out of order, the breakfast was very low qualified. The housekeepung didn't change the towels owlr bed sheets during 4 nights of my stay.
