It was next to the location I was traveling to.

The bed was to soft. And I had to leave my key at the hotel, when I went out.

The staff were all really welcoming, kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with AC which was greatly appreciated on a day with 30+. I personally found the bed comfortable too. The location was conveniently close to the Sbahn, and Tram stop.

I had to give the key to the desk ever time I left. A bit strange but not a problem.

The room was nice, but it had a big beam on one side due to the attic location. It was very difficult to get to one side of the bed and also dangerous…

horrible experience

This is a scam that forces travelers to sign up for city bus tickets and pay taxes that have already been paid in the hotel price.I booked a hotel for one night. My room was for two but my wife couldn't come. I checked in at 6am and they charged me 14.80€ as city tax, while whenever I book a hotel from other websites I didn't pay any tax to the hotel when I checked in. I protested and they said because you checked in at 4am you have to pay 7.40€ the first day tax and because you leave in the morning you have to pay city tax!!!! I have never heard in my life that you have to pay tax when you leave the city. The hotel clerk was an Afghan immigrant boy named Saeed Luqman. I told him I want to speak to the manager and he said we don't have a manager and we don't allow you to call, just email me I will answer the emails myself. I said this is a scam and you should give me my money back but he laughed. It was a very horrible and bad experience that made me spend the whole day in the room from mental stress and not leave. Breakfast was just cheese, bread, cold boiled eggs, broken coffee maker and a few pieces of fruit. Why do you write in the comments that the breakfast is great? All the hotel facilities were not even up to the standard of a hostel.

Bed a little soft but that's personal

The room was small but cosy, very clean. A nice view on the crossing but still very quiet. The location is perfect if you have business near Messe/Deutz.

The bed is quite soft but not in a comfy way. My hips are going down but there is still no space for my shoulder. I prefer Kaltschaum beds. Also the pillow was too thick, so I slept in a very weird position (head up, hips down).

The room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained with excellently friendly staff. The room included cable television and the hotel offers a paid breakfast, but we did not end up using those offerings. Directly outside the hotel is a tram stop and the nearest train station is 5-10 minutes' walk away, which is another short train ride from the Cologne central station.

Nothing that wasn't just personal taste, the hotel was an excellent experience. I would be grateful if prices were lower, but that's simply the state of the hotel industry.

Central location

Shower cubicle doors could not close. Room temperature control did not work. Decor generally very worn and outdated.

Hotel was extremely colose to th Lanxess Arena

Air condition in the room made a sound during the night. It didn't bother me but my friend said her sleep was disrupted by the noise.

Nice and clean hotel and staff were helpful, Good location very close to city’s metro links.

Outside of hotel could do with a clean/paint, I was very nervous when going inside but hotel inside was very clean.

Good access to Lanxess Arena, fabulous breakfast - not cheap but worth to take

A bit pricey

Staff was very kind and helpful. Perfect location, in the city center, right across the train station and also other attractions. Easy to get around on foot. Very big and spacious room.

Breakfast is great. The reception is 24 hours!! They keep your room key when you go out so feeling secure. And they have a big lift (very happy if you have big luggages)

It’s noisy at night from street if you open the window. However it’s too warm to have them closed. Tried to turn the aircon on but it has sudden loud noise from time to time during the night.And it’s very confusing to find the closest train exit to walk to the hotel, would be nice if hotel can send some info.

It's very spacious and clean, the location is good, near the tram station and the train station.

Close to the fair, very close to all public transport, add very good breakfast!
