Helpful staff

Wish there was a fitness center and the shower could use a better curtain. Floor was soaked after every shower

Don't stay in this hotel if you don't want to lose your belongings and be insulted

I forgot my charger at the hotel. On the same day, when I sent an e-mail to the hotel, told them my room number and told them that I forgot my charger, they told me that they found it. The same day when I went to the hotel to get my charger, they gave me an old model iphone charger that was not mine. I asked the lady at the front desk to check the room and she refused at first, but she got very angry and accepted my request. After checking the room, she came to me and said “If I am not blind, there is no charger in the room!!!”. It was the most rude and ill-mannered hotel staff I have ever seen in my life. If I were the owner of this hotel, I would not employ her there for 1 more second. Lastly, she gave me an old iphone charger and I had to take it because I had no other choice. Please don't stay in this hotel if you don't want to lose your belongings and if you don't want to be insulted.

Very good breakfast, clean rooms, super friendly staff

I really liked the hospitality at the Hotel. People there were really helpful with each and everything that I had problem with. Further they were also comfortable with english and made my stay really enjoyable.

Everything was really good, no complaints.

The staff, exceptional, very friendly, warm, felt like home. It's a special feeling when the staff remembers your name. The location is perfect, to Porz-Wahn railway station, and 20 min to Köln Hbf. Many restaurants nearby, offering German to Greek food. Hotel has free parking and an EV charger. Area around Schloss Wahn is good a walk. If you want to buy items from dm store, it's 450m from the hotel.

The bed was too soft for me, need something more hard. Would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room. TV channels all in German language, unsure if it's a German tradition :-)

The staff did an amazing job of sorting our late arrival when our plane was delayed. They were kind, courteous and helpful. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much!

- really friendly helpful female staff members- very good location with a walkable distance to the S-Bahn Porz-Wahn station which is a short journey into the city centre- good amount of shops and take away food places to enjoy around the vicinity- good selection of breakfast

- room was old/dated & very tightly compact with not much space to manoeuvre/put your suitcases to the side so they don’t get in the way- no hot kettle in the room for you to have tea/coffee in bed- television would lose signal from time to time that you would have to move it side to side for it to regain its signal- male staff member with moustache not the most friendliest and refused to write out breakfast & check out times in English for me as I couldn’t read German words. I had to use Google Translate to help with that.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was small but it was chosen intentionally since I was a solo traveler, so it was quite okay.Only 8-10 mins walk to the station and about 20 mins to Köln Hbf where you can connect anywhere.

I had originally hoped to stay in Cologne but found I would need to look further out and so, close to a railway station was important. I found Hotel Garni Geisler fitted my needs very well. Unfortunately, I was delayed and wasn't able to make it to the hotel before it closed for the night! However, they managed this potential problem very well so I was very grateful for this. Breakfast had plenty of good choices. The breakfast area and views to the garden behind coupled with spring sunshine altogether made for a very pleasant start to the day. Friendly staff at reception in the morning continued the feeling of being well looked-after.

Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice. (However, I see from looking at Booking.com now that this is not listed as provided and that perhaps I should have gone to find the drinks vending machine, which I see is listed!)

Nothing. I would recommend to book a different hotel.

Complicated on where to park the car. After a 12 hour drive. I used this hotel as a quick stop over. The check in took forever. No one else was there. Slow systems. Slow server. (Perhaps the owner) very out dated. No customer service skills. No English.

Breakfast, clean, comfy beds, nice cosy atmosphere

We had a great stay : good location (train station for direct connection to Köln at 10 min walking distance), very nice and helpful staff, free parking, quiet and spacious room and excellent breakfast buffet. We'll be back !
