Hotel Freiheit GmbH

It was a really pleasant stay, everybody from the owner to the hotel personnel was very friendly and relaxed. The room was very nice and had a good bed. The breakfast was good and diverse. The location is a plus, it is quite close to Deutz station and Koelnmesse. Overall Hotel Freedom is a cosy multicultural space which I loved and where I hope to return someday.

The hotel does not issue invoice! If you need an invoice, don't leave without it because they won't be sending it later as they promise. I paid about 450 EUR for my stay and now I cannot justify my expenses for this reservation!

Lovely facilities, excellent location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was exceptional.

Well located hotel across the bridge from the old town. Outside a tram stop that takes you straight into the old town. Lovely individual and interestingly decorated hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing varied continental breakfast including hard boiled eggs, breads, pastries, cold meats and cheese, yogurts, fresh fruit and cereals. Room had a great view of the river and the Cathedral. Spacious room with huge TV ( german channels only) There was also parking, which we did not need. Super easy to get back to the airport. There is a little kiosk shop next door to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

Nothing really, international tv channels would have been a bonus.

Location and cleanness!

Breakfast

Check-in and breakfast were good.

I had the hotels smallest room , and was warned by the reception person. It was nicely decorated but the shower floor did have some mould on it (fake pebble floor)

Lovely friendly hotel, which was clean and tidy. Staff was all very helpful and polite. lovely view from the balcony looking over the river Rhein.

The whole experience of staying at Hotel Freiheit was fabulous, extremely friendly and helpful staff.Cleanliness of the whole property was excellent.Breakfast was great

If I have to make any sort of criticism it would be, no tea or coffee making facilities either in the room or in the reception area.But this is a ever so minor criticism.

Just the location

The owner is managing this hotel like a bootcamp, he didn't refund my money almost 3 months from Gamescom despite all of my efforts, told me "THis is my hotel, I can do whatever i want". 1 day before the trip he was trying to check if I am not coming to double the cash he can get out of the room. This is extremely unethicalHis attitude towards guests and his personel is not appropriate.I was yelled at breakfast due to carrying a water bottle that was from my room, they tought i took it from the breakfast area. I never treated like this in my stays, and this will not be forgotten.

Continental breakfast was good and varied choice. Mixture of sweet and savoury with Healy option available ie fruit and berry’s.

No fridge in room

Clean and slightly quirky hotel just across on the other side of the river from the main station and cathedral. Excellent continental breakfast choice and friendly staff

The location is great and the breakfast is exceptional.

The price is too high for what you get. However the rooms are clean and very comfortable.

I loved the general vibe, it was super close to the Cologne Messe, and many restaurants and things to do.

The decor, location and staff

The room was too small

The staff was awesome! Very friendly and accommodating!

I had the smallest room and there wasn't a desk present. The staff was very accommodating and allowed me to work in the dining area, which was fine and had access to electrical outlets. Minor inconvenience.

Everything was perfect. The location of the hotel is ideal for the Anuga Expo within 10 10-minute walk, and it is close to the city centre and Cologne Cathedral. Breakfast and service were excellent. Thanks to Sadiqa for making us feel at home.

Nice location - nice to be away from the immediate noisy centre of town but a lovely 10 minute walk over the bridges to the altstadt. Staff were welcoming.

Rooms were small. The beds were very rudimentary - they creaked when you moved and sounded like they would give way at any point. Showers were a bit whiffy - water smelt sulphurous. Breakfast was fine if uninspiring.

Loved the kind hotel staff, the furniture and interiors we so special and warm. We loved the breakfast!
