    Pros +

    • Wonderful stay for all members of our large family. The staff was friendly, helpful, kind; the rooms
    • Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet street. Room was very spacious, very clean. The radiators did not work but the AC was enough to warm the room (although it was around 12 degrees, which was OK. I do not know how it would work in colder conditions). Elevator available and large. Location is good and safe but also at an acceptable walking distance to the old town (around 20 minutes). Also tram stations were nearby. It was very kind of them provide us with complimentary chocolates and pencils for the kid.
    • Nice hotel in the middle of Cologne. The personnel was friendly. The room was spacious. Breakfast area is sweet.

    Cons -

    • It was OK but the extra bed (A foldout sofa) was large but hard to sleep on. It is acceptable for 2 nights but would be uncomfy for longer periods.A Small misleading / vague information on booking.com about the extra bed for the kid. It read "20 euros per stay" which I assumed was the duration of the stay. However, it turned out they meant for each night (which i would imagine would be better worded as"20 euros per night", as in other hotels) They were willing to discuss it but I was in a hurry to catch the plane. The price was a bit steep because it was a weekend and christmas market craze was on. But it is true for all hotels in Cologne around that period, and Maison was still relatively less expensive.
    • The beds and linnen were stiff. Lot of dusk under the bed. Street was noisy, but that's the risk guests take.
    • WiFi didn’t work

Friendly staff, good location and silent rooms. We had kettle and minibar. We asked for a change in dates and they responded immediately, came with a solution.

Great location! It was walking distance to center, shopping districts, Christmas markets, etc. Room was nice and cozy.

Great location, close to restaurants and shops. Very comfortable and clean room with a safe. Elevator made 4th level easily accessible. Friendly and welcoming staff.

We had to call the host to get access to the room. We did not have an EU phone, also not able to contact through WhatsApp.

Great option close to Neumarkt, homey feeling, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, home away from home. I will be happy to return.

My room was a bit small, but as expected (according to the description).

The hotel was very clean, the staff were very attentive and friendly, and I thank each and every one of them. The breakfast was very good.

Good location, beautiful hotel and rooms (Terrace with Nice view) and most of all very friendly staff. I asked to change rooms because we wanted a terrace to sit outside after our baby girl sleeps. And we could change immediately with no problems. Amazing coffee at breakfast.

The scrambled egg seemed to be missing from the breakfast buffet. The room was very hot (29 degrees) with no aircon. But I have to add we first had a room with aircon, I asked to switch to a room with terrace myself and afterwards that one appeared to have no airco. Might be good to add it to all top floor rooms.

spacious, 2 bathrooms which was great for a family of 5. host was super responsive.

apartment doesn’t have a designated parking, which made it difficult to find a parking spot in the super narrow and limited street.

Lovely property, lovely management, excellent breakfast.

Water pressure in the shower was a bit weak but it’s an old building

A very beautiful boutique hotel with very friendly staff. The Italian breakfast staff were just amazing. Nice location. Close to nice restaurants and bars.

Unfortunately the beds weren’t friendly to our backs.

Great location - 10 minutes walk to the Belgian quarter 20 mins to the old town. Staff were amazing and really helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and large - great showers too.

They were installing Aircon (but that's just doing improvements and did not bother us) and sometimes outside could be a little loud but with the windows closed you couldn't hear anything

    9NinaPosted on: 6-25-2025

The hotel is discrete and well decorated. There's a lift and 4 rooms per floor. The room was well decorated and had everything we needed. The location was great and breakfast was vegetarian and fine.

    10StefanPosted on: 6-25-2025

Exceptually friendly staff, very nice rooms and above average pillows

    10TerryPosted on: 6-20-2025

Staff were great. Initially we had a small room but for a small cost we were able to upgrade to a very decent sized room. It's worth going for the bigger room for a couple. The small rooms are fine for a single traveler. Breakfast was really good with eggs cooked to order and many other choices. Luka and Thomas were very helpful and fun. Location was a little off the beaten track, but very walkable to everything you want to see and do.

A/C in all rooms would have been nice. We were in Cologne for a heat wave and were provided with a portable a/c. However, the venting of the a/c caused the window to have to be open, so the room did not get that cool. Other than that, everything was great.
