    • This hotel is hard to beat if you consider location and price; rooms can be compact but are clean, modern and good quality for a short term stay. This time around they exceeded expectations when staying with a baby by providing a larger size room and new, comfy travel cot with perfect baby bedding included. Thank you!
    • Small but comfortable room, parking available in the parking garage under the building, easy access, fair pricing. We didn't use the buffet breakfast which looked great but was too expensive for what we wanted knowing there are several very nice coffee bars and breakfast places nearby. The lounge, with bar was very comfortable as well and nicely decorated.
    • Comfortable and beautiful hotel and room.Good selection for breakfast, with many Bio options.Walking distance from center, sights, chocolate museum, Christmas markets.Excellent lobby.

    Cons -

    • no wash cloths and no hair wash/conditioner nor lotion
    • Nothing to not like. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
    • Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. The hotel lacks very basic facilities such as a refrigerator or a minibar!!. We previously stayed at a smaller and cheaper hotel, yet it had these facilities without any issue.Even simple things like drinking cups were not replaced automatically. We had to request new cups from the reception every time, while other hotels provide this service daily without asking.Another major inconvenience is the location, there is no nearby bus stop, which makes transportation very difficult, especially for tourists.Overall, the hotel does not meet basic hospitality standards and does not offer good value for money. I would not recommend staying here

The Motel One chain is really great. Stayed at least 20 times in various locations. Good value for money, depending on the season or local events of course. Never tried the breakfast, so cannot comment there.

The staff is generally super nice. However, often 'under staffed'. At check out time, there was one person operating the desk and one person operating the 'drinks area'. Obviously overwhelmed. Not the fault of the staff, but planning of the management? Having said that, I have seen this trend almost everywhere. Service staff are difficult to find and harder to keep? Just frustrating for the clients.

Modern, quiet, comfortable, friendly helpful staff.

A long walk for someone with disabilities to the Altstadt.

staff was great - bed was comfy.

location is not bad but I wish I booked a hotel closer to center. Breakfast was ordinary and price was too high. Breakfast area was too crowded each time

The bed was big and comfortable

The room was small and basic

Hotel has upscale feeling. Maintained well. Nice bar in lobby. Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice shower and bed.

A little bit of a walk to the main Christmas market spots but nothing crazy. Only difficult if you’re bringing back stuff.

First time at this hotel chain. Room was small but comfortable. Only one person at a time can pass by the foot of the bed. Great black out curtains so you can sleep when you want. Plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable, longest sleep I had in ages. Efficient use of walls with hanging bar and hangars, plus a small closet area. Location was great, close to the tram station, several nice restaurants nearby and only a short 15 min walk to the cathedral.

We put the do not disturb sign when we went for breakfast, somehow that was translated to no service. It was ok since it was just our first full day, but do be aware of the signs housekeeping adds to the door. If you have a lot of luggage, the room will feel cramped, it's very compact and well laid out to maximize the space, just know the space is limited.

Clean rooms and a great location close to the center.

There were not enough tables for all the guests who wanted breakfast. We ended up eating seperately from each other at whatever chair, couch or barstool that was available. Staff did not have time to help guests so you had to figure your stuff out by yourself.

Everything. Room was cozy, warm and very clean. Bathroom was also super clean and shower soap smelled good.Location was great, bus and tram stop nearby but we also walked to the station. Rewe, several coffee places and restaurants were close too.Breakfast had a good variety (only missed scrambled eggs) and good quality, it was good value for money.

As a suggestion, maybe add a kettle to the room so guests can boil water for tea.

    9JonathanPosted on: 9-13-2025

The place is very clean and trendy. The bed is extremely comfortable. The staff is amazing.

Coat of the breakfast for the limited choice. It was enough but expensive a little

    9SusanPosted on: 6-23-2025

Location, clean and new , breakfast and bar options. Friendly staff.

It would be helpful to have some information in the room about breakfast times, bar hours, etc. We saw the information on signs posted in the elevators but had to look for it. We eventually figured it out and it was easy enough. Still, a suggestion.

    7WilliamsPosted on: 4-24-2025

    The ambience is nice

The tea wasn't free- that was insane. Also my room, the carpet was dirty I couldn't sleep as I have asthma and the smell drove me crazy.

    10KhajamicPosted on: 4-20-2025

The staff were great. Perfect location, close to the Old Town, restaurants and parking.

    4DebbiePosted on: 4-15-2025

The beds were comfy and the shower was good.

The facilities in the room were really poor, no tea and coffee facilities, no water, no telephone to contact reception. The room was absolutely roasting and the air conditioning wasn’t working. We had to sleep with the window open and the noise from outside was so bad that we ended up getting no sleep at all. It was honestly a disaster.

    10FayePosted on: 2-27-2025

Staff were friendly, great location, nice breakfast. Shower was great. Special shout out to Thomas and the Spanish barman (sorry didn't catch his name) both really chatty and made us feel very welcome and topped up with drinks when we chilled in the bar.

I found the beds a little uncomfortable but my husband said they were fine. Rooms could be perceived as being on the smaller side but just fine if you're out and about or there on business.

    Nice bar and pleasant staff.

    Small hotel rooms.
