Not good

We did not receive what we paid for. The staff explained that the issues were due to housekeeping, but our room smelled like a toilet, there was no light in the room, and our towels were left on the ground at the front door instead of inside the room.We were later moved to another room with two single beds, even though we originally paid for a room with three beds. The price of the two single beds is significantly lower, yet staff informed us that they could not refund the price difference or offer any compensation.

Price/performance was excellent.Staff is very helpful and friendly. Location was pretty close to center. Only a few minutes walking distance to train station. It is easy to reach Heumarkt by train and Central station by U-Bahn. It takes 20-30min.There are a lot of restaurant, cafe, markets like Rewe, Aldi, DM..etc. neighborhood.

single room is a little bit lower than my expectations. Another thing is next door was WC to my room so I did not like it because cross door was using it very often.

Location is very handy

Room was bare, no kettle, a small bottle of coke was 4,20 from the front desk. Duvet felt like a rough towel. Felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

booked 3 rooms for the 3 of us. Close to airport but needed google maps for navigation. Close to the river Rhine.

When arrived there was a sign "will be back shortly" That was 20 minutes wait in the Lobby. We were however compensated for a free parking in the basement the next morning by a manager (Danke) . We were assigned the top floor 6. The elevator went only to the 5th. We did not have any luggage. We seemed to be the only guests. Maybe the topfloor was for the 1 bed rooms?

Room 702! Very disappointed!! See the photos. The hotel didn't reply my message about this. Bad bed mattress. - can't sleep well.No window to open. Breakfast ok but missing is eggs.

It is a standard otel. There were no best thing I can say. Staff is kind and helpful.

There were no slippers in the hotel. Breakfast was not varied, it was a very standard breakfast.We stayed room that have a depressed.

The breakfast was decent. Beds were comfy. Good place to stay if you’re on a budget. Our room had a Nice view of planes coming in to land at Köln Bonn airport.I am the type of person to remember a place on holiday that I stayed more fondly because I enjoyed the time I had there. This is one of those times.

However, lift was broken, WiFi didn’t work and shower fluctuated between being extremely warm and extremely cold. The plug and light in the single room was broken.

Breakfast was very good really. Just noticed on busier mornings that things weren’t always restocked . But in general very good.

Overall we were very happy with the hotel. The room was a good size and very clean . No complaints at all about the hotel. Would stay here again .The taxi to the hotel was good and so we booked the same firm again for our return to the airport . However , having booked them for 11.15am, they didn’t turn up until 11.40 and then, on arrival at the airport charged us €50 for a 12 minute drive! So we did feel scammed by that but had no choice but to pay up. I just think I ought to mention this so that others don’t fall into the same trap. We should have booked an Uber.

Breakfast is not bad! They have bread, eggs, cold cuts, coffee and more! they let you eat what you want ???

They have internet but works only in the halls, wasn't possible to use it in the room, there is no signal.

The room was next to the street, on street level, and the noise was disturbing.

We booked knowing this was a budget hotel due to its proximity to Klasmeyer Aesthetics. The breakfast was good and the room clean. Beds are very low, mattresses thin and we only had one pillow each and thin single duvets. Man on reception in the evening was very friendly.

Property had easy access and was conveniently located. Staff was really friendly. A good selection of food is offered for breakfast.

The room was boiling hot with little chance to cool down. There wasn’t an AC and the windows faced the main road. For me personally, too noisy to open them properly

Staff were really nice ! Breakfast was decent. Hotel is only 10 minutes from the main train station, only 20 minutes from the town centre

We was checked in before we got to the hotel, they left our bags out in public when asked to leave then at reception, dirty cups were left in our room

I chose Hotel Mariella mainly because of its proximity to Cologne-Bonn Airport as I had an early flight to catch.Nevertheless, the hotel exceeded my expectations, especially as the rate I paid would have included breakfast, if I'd had the time to stay and eat some (breakfast is served from 6:30am, but my airline recommended getting to the airport by 5:15am ). My room was clean and comfortable with no obvious problems with the facilities. The receptionist was polite and quite happy for me continue using German, even though his English was way better than my German (or maybe even my English!). I really appreciated this.The location was convenient, it is about a 20 minute tram ride from the centre of Cologne, and about 15-20 minutes by local bus to the airport. The local district centre is a bit of a building site at the moment, but despite this the hotel was easy to find and I experienced no issues with noise during my stay.

The room was comfortable, but the service is terrible.

It was 2AM when I arrived to this hotel. The reception guy was VERY rude. I booked to stay for one night only, he met me with very bad . He told me to prepay, as Booking is not sending them the all money (I didn’t have the same experience with the other hotels reserved by Booking).
