Pros +
- Great 2 night stay at Adrett am Dom during Karneval. The cost was not much but the quality of the building reflected a much higher class and more expensive hotel.
- Unacceptable
- Bad
Cons -
- The bathroom was clogged, there was no elevator in the hotel and we were not informed, unfortunately we stayed on the third floor and carried the suitcases alone. The room smelled musty!
- Hello, I stayed at Hotel Adrett am Dom Hotel for two nights, and it was my first and last visit. Last night, drunk men were disturbing us — they were knocking on our door and shouting all night. The same noise continued in the morning. There is zero security. This is the downside of a contactless hotel — there’s no reception, no one to complain to, no one to help if something goes wrong. After this experience, I won’t stay at this type of hotel ever again.
- We had two rooms and both were an absolute disaster. The deluxe double room smelled of mold with visible black mold on the walls. Furthermore the bathroom sink was clogged with some disgusting sludge. In the other room the window wouldn't shut properly so it was quite freezing and the street noise made it difficult to sleep. The fire alarm also went off at 3 AM. The hallways were also dark and smelled awful and we saw a rat in the stairwell. This property is filthy, poorly managed, and a complete health hazard. Avoid at all costs.

The location is great, room size is quite big, spacious, pretty clean
The bed was broken, one of the sides of double bed was wayyy down than other side, not really comfortable beds to my liking, we did not recieve Wifi pasword, no shower gel provided.
Location
No staff available, no lift, no bath as shown in the photo’s, bathroom was old & the bed was stone hard, also not much closetroom available

There is no reception available. The tables are just there for show, there is no breakfast available. But that is not the worst. In the room there where bloodstains on the wall, the shower was put together with duct tape and not usable because the drain was clogged, the door of the shower was broken, there were stains on the duvet, stains that appeared to be sperm on the bed, hair on the floor, mold in the ceiling and a tap that sprayed water all over the bathroom floor. We pointed this out to the hotel via the chat(because there was no reception available) and asked for a refund. They replied by saying: “You stayed here so that is not possible. If you pointed it out while you were there we could have done something”. They never even apologised and we could not have pointed it out because there was no reception available. So to sum it all up: don’t go here.
The Location war really good.
Wasn‘t clean. We found hairs in the bathroom, the toilet wasn’t clean and was smelling cigarettes. The table was broken. It’s not a hotel, it’s like apartments. The Windows cannot be opened fully so we couldn’t have frisch air in the room. The Bett was not comfortable at all. We haven’t saw any staff member at all but a guy on the phone was helpful.
Great location, comfortable bed
Lack of attention. Flickering lights, missing curtain, handle on shower had missing screw, electrical socket came off wall.. just a little tired.
location very convenient
Window latch was broken/missing and could not open window to ventilate hot room. Attendant provided another fan, but no cooler outside air could come in.
There was nothing to like in this hotel, other than its location close to the center.
The room was a safety hazard with broken furniture that could fall anytime and shower doors barely hanging. It was dirty in all surfaces, and all the walls were stained. Wifi didnt really work as well. There was no ventilation or ac in the room and you cannot fully open the window because of "safety reasons". Even when the weather was cooler, inside it felt extremely humid and hot, even hard to breathe. They don't even have basic stuff like mini fridge to store some water during summer, no toiletries like soap, or an empty glass of water to use. Even the toilet paper provided was not enough for 2 days! The place is basically an empty studio to rent instead of a hotel. The "reception" works for a limited amount of time and its basically a young person that is not helpful at all and can't answer any question. We asked to leave in the first minute when we saw the place but the owner denied. Booking.com at least helped after the fact and I provided some pictures for their investigation.
The Location and the size of the room
No hot water and no one at the front desk to express the issue to.
Localization and master bed was good.
Uncomfortable extra bed, Wi-Fi didn't connect on cell phones or TV, there's no minibar in the bedroom, the shower drain was blocked.
Location is goog, too close to DOM and train station.
It is advertised as a hotel, but there is no reception or staff that should be in a hotel. However, it does not have apart features. Here you only get room and bed; is given. You have to open the hotel's exterior door yourself with the key. There is no room service, the room is not cleaned, it does not feel clean in appearance anyway, it is a strange establishment. The bed is placed on a base with a wide frame, and even if the sheets are changed, all kinds of dirt from the previous stays remain on the frame on the side of the bed. Since I wasn't sure about the cleanliness of the sheets, I put a t-shirt on my pillow. There was no elevator, I carried my suitcase to the 3rd floor. There was no safe. After the shock I experienced, I couldn't even think of not wanting to stay because it was not a place where refunds were granted, but it was also not a hotel that fulfilled its promises. After 2 nightmarish nights, I stayed in a real hotel in Brühl for half the price. Positive comments were obviously entered into the system by acquaintances of the business owners.
The hotel staff was nice. It is a small hotel that exists alongside a larger hotel and when you need to check in or out, you have to speak to someone who will come over and give you your keys. The room was fine, given that the price was reasonable.
The shower had poor pressure because it leaked. It was frustrating not to be able to take advantage the usually good water pressure that Germany offers. The layout of the room was weird, with a small room before you entered the bedroom. This room had no furniture.
The owner is very gracious. He waited up very late for me on my arrival from the airport. He welcomed me kindly, and our small talk quickly became deep.He always checked in with me to see if I was missing anything and gave me good recommendations where to eat and where not ;). I enjoyed my stay and had everything I needed, not to mention the location - being in the center of the city with everything is a 1-5 minutes walk.
I think the only thing that could have given the extra boost would be a coffee machine in the room.
Room was spacious and good location.
Not much facilities. No water , kettle or cupboards.
The location is fantastic and within walking distance to several attractions. The hotel was clean, the staff was very nice and went out of their way to ensure I had everything.
The facilities were lacking a little bit, but the room was spotless. For example, there wasn't an electrical outlet in the bathroom, but there was one in the room itself. It would've been nice to have a mirror near an outlet. Also, if you want anything to snack on or drink, you'll probably need to leave the property to grab something nearby.
The hotel location is pretty central to sightseeing easily by walking in the city. The staff is helpful and friendly. We'll choose this hotel again while traveling to the city again.
Everything is nice and comfy.
In the room we had, with the package I paid for, we did not have breakfast. I did not see anywhere that could have catered for breakfast anyway. There are 2 or 3 bakeries for coffee bread and cakes to eat in or takeaway within a pleasant walk of 3 or 4 hundred metres so that was no problem. The room we had was a good size, with a nice bathroom attached. It was all clean, although one or two fixtures looked a bit old or were broken, but nothing that reduced usability of the facilities. The location was in a posh sort of area, lots of high end shops etc, and very easy walk to the cathedral and the markets. There was as is mentioned on several reviews, no lift. Be aware but for us this was fine. We could come and go as we pleased at all hours, we did not really hear any of the other guests, and the area felt safe.Honestly, I would stay here again without hesitation.
On initial arrival, we were greeted with a locked door and a note saying wait a few minutes or to ring a number. My impression is, ring the number, don't wait. A cheerful bloke turns up within a couple of minutes and dealt with us. My feeling is that there are not enough rooms to warrant a full time staff member so they are nearby with maybe more rooms, who knows? It's not a hotel with room service and a constant buzz, but a few rooms where the guests are left alone and it was nice, if this is what you want. Suited us very well. Apparently, they do have rooms that have a separate toilet off the stairwell that we passed, but it looked clean and the check-in chap explained to us, they were priced cheaper, accordingly.
