Hotel Uhu Garni - Superior

Exceptional! Great location (about 15/20 minute train ride to Cologne city center, with the station right next to the hotel). Comfortable beds, clean room, and delicious breakfast! Really nice employees also. I recommend it.

Very friendly and helpful staff, checking in after reception hours is not a problem and overall very smooth. Very safe and secure night facility. Room very clean. Parking facilities available behind secure gate.

Room did not have tea and coffee facilities which would have been nice. Was not easy to figure out how to open parking gate from inside the parking facility but got there in the end - need to pull red button instead of push. For some reason hall light went on when turning on the bathroom light causing other family members to wake up.

The room was clean and fresh and the beds changed daily. The facilities were excellent. The breakfast choices were fantastic. The fresh fruit, yoghurts, deli, pastries etc were in big supply. The breakfast area was lovely with a nice, relaxed ambience. It is on a quiet street on the outskirts of Cologne and is also near public transport. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. My son and I had a very comfortable and relaxed stay. This hotel represents excellent value for money. I'm very surprised it's only a 3 star.

Nothing. If I choose Cologne for a short break in the future, I will not hesitate to stay here.

Sits in a drab neighbourhood where the neighbouring property has graffiti on it.Rooms were well maintained but a bit basic when it came to furnishings.Staff weren’t particularly helpful.

Excellent breakfast area and food, lots of choices.I personally like oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit.Friendly and helpful staff.Accommodating us by giving us packed breakfast to go on our last day.Very good location, close to transit.Overall, it is a comfy place.

The elevator was not available for use when we had to leave very early at 4:45am. Taking heavy luggage down the steps was not fun.Would be nice if i could have a boiled egg and sesame bun and a bottle of water for breakfast to go. I personally would not like softdrink and meat and cheese sandwich for breakfast to go.I personally preferred not to have a room right beside the elevator door. Luckily, the place was quiet.Did not like the need for extra careful about the door handle hitting the mirror on the closet door, as the door stopper was not installed at a proper location such that it will stop such itype mpact.

Location was great. 3 minute walk to the sbahn. It was a quiet area. Breakfast was great! There was a lot of food to choose from.

The room was a bit smaller than I expected.

Breakfast is lovely, was a perfect distance from the centre of cologne & other sights to visit, would definitely stay again next time I visit cologne. (It also has a Rewe supermarket down the road :D)

Nothing If I'm being plainly honest, was a really nice stay, would honestly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice stay for their time in cologne, as the train is a short walk from the hotel. :)

The location is great, S-Bahn station 2 minutes walk. Parking is in closed parking lot, very close to the hotel.The breakfast was good and the staff very helpful and attentive.

The size of the room could be a little bigger.

This Hotel is different. It is itself not a destination. It is for travelers who what clean, friendly, and other places to eat or not, because they only serve breakfast, and one which is totally good. They are in a neighborhood which has from Thai holes in the wall to Michelin 1 Stars within shortest walking distance (I chose the Thai...Yummy). My bedroom was truly a single, which was fun, and the staff were of all ages and engaged/friendly/helpful.

My room with window open was not quite noiseless from commuter train to family in the house next door. But the sound proof windows work.
