    • Our stay at Hotel at the Museum was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The team is incredibly kind, professional, attentive, and caring. Their warmth and dedication truly make a difference.A very special thank you for the amazing birthday surprise for my daughter — the room decoration was breathtaking, thoughtful, and unforgettable. My daughter was overjoyed, and we were deeply touched.Everything exceeded our expectations: the atmosphere, the service, the comfort, and the attention to detail. We felt welcomed, valued, and truly cared for. This hotel deserves the highest rating possible. We will definitely return and recommend it with all our hearts.Thank you for creating such a wonderful and memorable experience.
    • the location is very good, very convenient
    • Lovely location and view, we took the room on the top floor overlooking the dome. Comfortable, spacious, with 2 very wide double beds.

    Cons -

    • take big luggage to the upstair is not easy, even have the lift but the life location is not good
    • The refurbishment is quite outdated, but still ok.
    • One lady receptionist quite rude and not accomodating. She said no luggages are allowed to be left after checkout but when I messaged beforehand, I was told it can be left for free until 3pm. She was then talking to her colleague and said only until 2pm. So I don't think their rules are consistent. Also, few small ants in the room (some in the bed, some in the sink).

This is the perfect boutique hotel next to the Cathedral in Cologne. Longterm/shortterm parking garage (18Euros for 24 hrs) less than 5 min walk away. The room was spotless, all necessities taken care of. Breakfast can be had after prior reservation with the hotel owners, and it is well worth it!!!!Can only recommend!!

The location was amazing. We were so close to the museum, where we saw a great exhibit. The Dom and Christmas Markets were visible from our room and the hotel was easy walking distance from the train station. The room was very comfortable. It could get noisy outside, but we always travel with a white noise machine, so no problem! There were many things to see and do within walking distance. It is a very touristy area, but you could find local culture not far away.

Location is good, very near to the cathedral and walking distance to train and tram stations.

One lady receptionist quite rude and not accomodating. She said no luggages are allowed to be left after checkout but when I messaged beforehand, I was told it can be left for free until 3pm. She was then talking to her colleague and said only until 2pm. So I don't think their rules are consistent. Also, few small ants in the room (some in the bed, some in the sink).

The location was amazing! We even were able to see the cathedral from our window. Friendly staff at check in. The room was comfortable and clean. I liked that it was a small independent hotel, very unique.

Excellent location (very easy from the station), room was spacious, staff friendly.

No tea/coffee facilities in room. Our towels got folded rather than replaced!

The location is convenient. It is near most busy area in Cologne especially the Dom

The room is clean but somehow always smells like dust. The pillows are hard although it can also be a preference for some. The bathroom has a weird smell when you shower. Needs updating for sure. The luggage storage - oh, they just let us leave the luggage under the bottom of the main stairs until 3pm because the cafe will close. So if your travel time is beyond that, you might have to choose to just store your luggage at the station.

The location is excellent, right next to Cologne Cathedral. The host is very nice.

It would be perfect if the bed sheets and duvet covers could be made of pure cotton.

The location is fantastic and the check in was smooth, despite us arriving after the regular reception hours. The hotel itself has got the charm of an old town building to it.

It's an old building, so the rooms aren't really sound proof - you can hear people in the other rooms and also parts of the room showed clear signs of use. The windows were open when we came an hence it was rather cold in the room and also one window shade was missing. On top of that the bathroom was infested with ants, which made us feel uncomfortable to really use it.

So close to all Christmas Markets. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Loud when other patrons would come up and down the stairs. Could hear everything.

The hotel is in an excellent position in the centre of town, close to the station with a view of the Cathedral. We arrived a bit late thanks to Eurostar so we did not see anyone but we were contacted during the day and the key left in the box. The room was compact and the bathroom slightly dated. That said it was very clean and the water was hot. We could not work out how to put up the heat in the room as it was cold out. We found only one blanket between two to go on the bed which was a bit of a pain. We left early and saw a lady who was very friendly. Apart from a few niggles a very convenient place to stay.

Room could have been a bit warmer and two blankets would have been good but still a good place to stay.

Amazing location. View of the cathedral and a 2 minute walk from decently priced parking at CONTIPARK Tiefgarage Am Dom. Very friendly staff

location excellent. breakfast good, room good

The absence of a receptionist after 6pm. We arrived in the rain at 8pm we met darkness, a small closed door. We had to call the hotel contacts, 1 lady for all , like girl Friday- had to guide us to open their key box, rotate the pin numbers all while getting wet and poor light . I thought we had to get back to the station or take another hotel that night. highly, impersonal and no human till next morning.

Location was great. But because you are so close to everything it could be loud at times.

The room was freezing when we arrived. Took a few hours to warm up. TV didn’t work and was sick a day and was room bound. Would be nice to have the ability to watch tv.

Basic and functional, quite and excellent location

    No TV remote

    Very convenient for rail travellers.

Three written requests for evening check-in received no reply. Was about to request free cancellation, very stressful. Finally had to phone to find out the procedure for getting the key and was told a box number and code would be sent via Booking on the arrival day. Still no message by 5 pm on arrival day, had to phone again to get info. Written confirmation was received later in the evening. Although there is a lift, there were stairs up to the lift door and more stairs from the lift exit to the room.
