Classik Hotel Antonius Köln City

The living room of the apartment was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The bedroom was a good size and also had a balcony. The 'kitchenette' was in a cupboard and didn't have much in the way of facilities besides a kettle and a small fridge. When we travel we prefer to have breakfast in our room before going out for the day and this wasn't possible as there were no plates/bowls and cutlery was limited to 2 forks and a teaspoon. The hotel was close to shops, restaurants, cafes and a supermarket. The train station was about a 15 min walk away. The amazing cathedral and other sightseeing is on the other side of the train station so still all within walking distance. The lift was being repaired so we had to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs each time we went out (we weren't notified about this prior to our stay, but even if we had we wouldn't have changed the booking).

There was no space for people to sit like a descent lobby or library - except for the room and the Restaurant.The elevator to be inside the building and not almost outside - and it was freezing cold.

Crockery, utensils & cooking equipment were virtually non-existent, so if you wanted to cook or even prepare light food, you couldn't (there were 2 glasses and 2 tiny cups with saucers, that it).The fridge was old and not very effective.Had to pay extra to use the hotel sauna.However, the deal-breaker was that this was honestly, the most disappointing breakfast I have ever had, in any hotel, anywhere in the world - this alone would stop me from staying here again.

Location, staff very friendly

Little bit outdated room. Road works outside the hotel for the duration of stay made it slightly difficult to access.

Bed room and living room are separated! TV has youtube.It was the first hotel where I jokingly told my travel companion, “I could totally live here,”

Location was little bit inconvenient.It’s within walking distance from Cologne Central Station and the Cathedral, but the route to the hotel was a bit inconvenient and the streets were quite narrow.

John at the front desk, made out stay wonderful. I told him this was my first time in Germany and asked for a get view and he did just that! The view of the Dome was beautiful at night and nice in the morning. Yes we had to walk up to the 4th floor but it was worth it. The elevator were not working that night so we had to climb the stairs. It was a quiet floor, and the floors were heated which I loved since it was very cold. John also gave us great restaurant recommendations and even helped us with an umbrella for the rain. Its the little things that make a stay great and I appreciate good service! Thank you.

Breakfast was ok, so great but I liked that they had fresh ginger and lemons for the tea.

Elevator was out of service as it was being renovated. Everything else was wonderful.

The room we were in was really nice and spacious. It’s also very close to the train station and city center. We were able to walk everywhere !

It could be a little cleaner.

The hotel was great and the room was better than expexted. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the cathedral so semi central.

There was some building work going on outside during our stay and could be noisy during the day. This didn't affect us so much as we were out all day.

The room was very clean and we had a corner roon with a lovely view of the courtyard. Alicia at the front desk, washer helpful with the metro and helping us find a place to do our laundry

The noisy house cleaning staff talking so loudly on the hallway, that I had to come out to bed for silence.The coffee machine didn't work, the fridge was better as wood, it didn't work. The mugs had no handles, I have to buy coffee sachets for insgabd coffee.

The room doesn't have enough lights. And the arrangement of the room e.g. doors and lights is not very comfortable but big problem.

Rooms were large. Close to Dom and 6 min fromtram. Beds were amazing !

A spacious and clean apartment, great for a family of four. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The cathedral is just a 10-minute walk away, and the nearby Eigelsteintorburg offers great cafés and several lovely breakfast spots.
