Pros +
- It was a very nice family owned hotel. The location is great and about two blocks from the cathedral. Breakfast was good. The staff was very nice and we would stay here again.
- It's a small, non-chain German hotel. Was very pleased with the breakfast and to have china. The little touches make the place.
- The location, the price with parking lots, clean room with a sink and clean shared bathrooms. Plus free coffee and tea in the morning.
Cons -
- The room was a little cold, radiator heat. We were told it was due to the crisis and they were limited. We just dressed warmer.
- No elevator
- Two shared bathrooms per floor of 8/9 rooms seems too little - although that said I didn't have to wait to use one

Very friendly and helpful staff, who had no problem with a late check-in.

Location, cleanliness. Good value for the money.
We were made aware (when we checked-in) that they were not able to hold our luggage after check-out. Minor inconvenience. Being so close to the station that was not a big problem.
Prices high. They said they close on Sunday.everytime when I leave I needed to give the keys to them.So dummy. And they also don't have free parking.its with reservation.and always full
Location
Staff is not helpful. Request to change bathroom rugs that was damp and dirty was not granted citing them being understaffed. Not helpful, even with luggage or any assistance whatsoever. Amenities were also not refilled. Also, a blackout curtain will be helpful for better rest.
The woman at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. I stayed in a room with a private bathroom. The room was clean, cozy, and larger than I expected. There was enough space to open my suitcase comfortably. And to my surprise, the cup in the washbasin area was an individually wrapped plastic cup, which made me feel reassured about cleanliness. The location was also very convenient, close to the station. I’d definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Cologne.
I had to carry my luggage up the stairs. I could hear people talking in the nearby rooms, but that’s common in many places, so it didn’t bother me.
Was there with a friend, clean, small comfy room.We also had a balcony, to our surprise.Nice and friendly staff.
Sadly there was no breakfast option. <|3
Super kind stuff, great location! , value for money therefore 5 start from me.
Overall cleanness was good. Yet it can be perfect if they pay more attention to the details; the room was clean yet there were dust pile overlooked in between the wall and the table.
good for a one night stay, near the station, moved on the next day. Friendly staff
Helpful staff with a good garage to store my bikeExcellent location very near the train station & cathedral
- Didn't quite understand why we were supposed to hand our keys over everytime we left the apartment, would be easier to keep hold of them
We stayed just one night in this hotel back in January, and the night after our stay, both my partner and I realized we were covered in more than 50 bed bug bites each. It was an absolutely terrible experience, and the worst part is that three months later, we are still suffering the consequences. It seems we brought bed bugs back home with us, and despite multiple treatments and extensive cleaning, we have not been able to fully eliminate the infestation. This has deeply affected our daily lives and mental health. We strongly warn future guests to think twice before booking until the hotel can guarantee proper pest control and cleanliness. One night here has caused us months of distress.
Clean functional room and shared bathroom. Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff
Very friendly staff and great location
Shared bathrooms very old, but clean!
Nice clean small single room close to hbf. Good value for money for the location. Friendly staff No lift so if you have heavy bags it could be a problem and pillows were awful.
Clean room, nice staff, good location
Cleanliness of room, convenient for railway station, food shops nearby, washbasin in room, room bright and light
Noisiness of other hotel guests, including late at night and trying room door handle
Room has balcony and it was very nice
Personel could be more kind and they are so strict about check-in hours at least they can control the room and if the room is available they can accept my wish anyway generally it is nice hotel.
Close to HBF ( 5 min walk. Nice spacious modern room with bathroom separate on the floor . Comfortable bed and nice linens
A bit overpriced at Nearly €100 for one night especially with a shared bathroom.
