Hotel Glockengasse

The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to the city center, which made everything incredibly easy and convenient. The room and all common areas were spotless and well maintained.

Nice hotel, very centrally located. Room was cosy and warm, but on the smaller size.

It was overpriced, because of the holiday season and the Christmas market.

even though it’s located in the city centre the windows are thick enough to keep almost all the noise outside

The hotel is very minimally staffed and is closed all day up to 15:00, which is incovenient if you want to leave luggage or have any issues.

The location (close enough to the Cathedral and train station). The size of the room - enough space. Bottle of water in room. Good value for the price. Easy check-out, no need to wait for anybody.

Squeaky bed, for a longer stay I would prefer another accommodation. The furniture in the room was old, so it looked much better in the photos on the booking website than it did in reality, but it was OK.

The room doesn't have a fridge

The room was quite spacious, the owner was quite friendly as well although we reached the hotel quite late

i think the toilet drainage has caused quite a hassle for us on the first night, the water overflows to the other side of the toilet from the shower, after cleaning the water flow was much better.

The hotel is cozy and very well-located in central Köln. It was very quiet too (you can just about hear the bells from the Dom!)

Location

The single room is way too small and not ventilated. It was boiling hot (no aircon, just a fan, but one can not keep it running all night). Opening the window meant all noise from the outside got in (and there was a lot!). Very bright stree light blasting light directly at the room window on the first floor... Result - no sleep at all, not a single minute.

The location was a short walk (15 minutes) to the train station and cathedral. The room was clean and a good value for the money. It was one block to a walking street with lots of shops and restaurants.

It was equal to the price paid. Staff was helpful. bed was comfy.

Mold in the shower and the bathroom was very tight with door and kept bumping walls while in the shower.

Location is fantastic, within a walking distance from the very center. The place is clean, great WiFi service, 24 hour emtrance. Very nice touch providing a bottle of water for free in the room.

No AC in rooms. 38c degrees outside is difficult to handle without AC unit. Also, no fridge, at least a small one - again in summer very important to have.

Clean room, quiet street

After the personnel saw my Ukrainian passport, somehow they 'forgot' knowing English language and insisted on communicating with me in Russian, though I asked them not to.With my American friend, though, they didn't have any problem communicating in English.
