Hotel Stadtpalais

Great location for activities on that side of river. Nicely appointed hotel with a very friendly staff that was very helpful when we asked for information.

The location was good and the room was very comfortable.

The bathroom, towels, and decorative pillows were stained. Also parking was advertised but there wasn't enough to accommodate more than 20 guests.

This hotel has it all, great breakfast (included) - amazing location (close to the messe and rail station) and probably the best service I got in any hotel in Europe. it's most of the time fully booked during conventions so book early.

We had one night where the wifi kept disconnecting, it got fixed after about 2 hours, would have been great if our room had a bit more light, it was kind of too dark for us during night time even with lights on.

The property was exceptionally pleasant and conveniently located near the arena, as I was attending a concert there. Since I’m a resident of Germany, I hadn’t experienced air conditioning in a hotel before, so it was a delightful surprise when I stepped into my room.

Although everything was very pleasant in the middle of the night, we noticed that our air conditioner was dripping from the light bulbs, and the dripping persisted throughout our stay.

Location was great, across from Lanxess arena and walkable to the city center. Good breakfast.

Very nice place near the Lanxess Arena, very kind staff. Super experience at every point, I totally recommend this place!

The only thing I didn't like is that the bed was too soft in my opinion but it's a personal preference, overall the bedroom was very nice!

Clean, quiet neighborhood, breakfast, rigor

We stayed one night. Room location, aircondition, some things to have in a hotel room, compact room, luggage stand...

Room was very nice with a comfortable bed. The A/C control was easy to use for adjusting the temperature. Bathroom shower was excellent.

Distance to the Cologne old town was just within walking distance. Good for exercise, but might be a little far for some.

Beautiful hotel. Room was huge with giant beds. Beautiful bathtub. Suited our group of 3 well.

The vegan breakfast options were limited and the air con was not cold enough.

I chose this hotel for its fascinating history and unique architecture, and it did not disappoint. One thoughtful feature is the heating lamp in the bathroom. It keeps you warm after a shower and can even help dry your clothes if you get caught in the rain. Quite area. The breakfast buffet is very extensive. The dining room is the heart of the hotel, very spacious, well-organized, and bright. The hotel is well-equipped.

Fantastic hotel with very helpful and warm staff. The room was spacious. We all absolutely enjoyed the stay.

Breakfast options were primarily meat-based. Very disappointing for vegetarians, and clearly not welcoming if you were Vegan. Would have been nice to be considerate of at least a few dietary needs. No storage options for baggage was provided. We had to use the seating/ bench to unpack the bags, which is not ideal in my opinion. Also, not enough space to store the bags in the wardrobe after hanging jackets and other clothes.

I had to order a kettle which was brought to my room. But alas, there were only 2 wine glasses in my room. By the time I realised it, it was my booked sauna slot. All that I appreciate. But I have a small confession to make. I took one yellow plastic glass upstairs, to my room, and used it for brewing and drinking the tea. I am sure that the housekeeping will find it and whether return to its original location, downstairs, in the spa area before the sauna cabin, or possibly leave it to the room 401 which would benefit of a cup or stronger glass for drinking. The two wine glasses were not fit for hot water. That said, thank you for everything. Loved every bit of your accommodation venue. And the breakfast. And the nice server gentleman who smiled at me even when passing by my chair in the check-out area. Kind and polite, made one feel at home.

Please could you have a cup for drinking in the room. Two wine glasses were a nice touch, but they were not helpful for hot beverages.

Breakfast was great, although a bit more options would be great, it was very neat. Service is overall very good, as well as location.

I will stay here next time.

The location was perfect as we were going to a concert in the Lanxess Arena which is literally across the street.

The restaurant was very expensive and it took ages to be served. We waited 25 min just for a piece of cheese cake as desert, after having already waited more than 1,5hr for our main course. Staff at reception was not very friendly, rooms were noisy, especially for what you pay. The shower head in the bath room was lopsided and could not be fixed meaning that the entire bathroom was wet after a shower.

It was ok. The room was warm and easy to use.

Internet was non-existent, which created a lot of trouble for me since I had to work while in there. Complained in the reception and nothing was done about it. I don’t even need their internet but the building also blocked my own internet. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

The room was as expected and quiet. The breakfast was good

The only criticism is that the lights near the bed could have been actual lamps. They were not so friendly to turn off and on or adjust if you wanted to read at night

Exceptional! We had a blast, really lovely atmosphere, friendly people and delicious breakfast. Cheap parking behind the hotel (5€).
