With a plasma TV in each guest room, the Grainger Hotel is just a mile from Newcastle’s vibrant center. It has a 24-hour front desk, a relaxed lounge with Sky TV, and a games room with billiards. The restaurants, bars and theaters located around St James’ Park, home of Newcastle United FC, are 15 minutes’ walk away. Bus stops opposite the hotel provide 10-minute links into the city center. Rooms each feature classic décor, along with free tea/coffee and a work area. Rooms have either a private bathroom or a shared bathroom, with ironing facilities also available. The large lounge area is equipped with elegant leather sofas, a pool table and two 42-inch plasma-screen TVs. Secure on-site parking is also available at the Grainger.

Staff were really helpful and hotel was very Quiet.

Cons -

I spent the whole night with no heater even though I complained to the reception. Also there is no room service, in the whole 8 nights they cleaned my room one time only. Also the hot water is not available during night time.
First room allocated unable to turn off heating despite being 25Â°+ outside!! Pungent smell of sewage(?) in every room Mattress very uncomfortable Inside of kettle filthy Shower head black

Nothing I like about this hotel

Staff were really helpful and hotel was very Quiet.

No fault at all here. All good.

The staff were very friendly and the reception desk is open 24/7 so both of those points are great. There is also a pool table in the lobby which was fun to use.

The room was ridiculously hot - we had our window open 24/7. Only one window would actually open so this didnt help. Additionally, the room didnt feel accommodating, there was a hole (punched?) in the wall and the shower was hanging off by a screw.
