Located next to Glasgow Queen Street Rail Station and just 164 feet from Buchanan Street’s shops, this hotel has an airport bus stop directly outside. With a rooftop restaurant and wonderful views across Glasgow’s skyline, Carlton George Hotel offers luxury rooms with complimentary mini-bars. The Carlton George hotel offers rooms with free decanters of vodka, gin and whiskey. Each room also comes with a complimentary mini-bar containing soft and alcoholic drinks. The Executive and Club rooms have access to the hotel's Executive Lounge. This area features an open fire with complimentary snacks and drinks. Windows Restaurant serves a creative modern menu featuring fine Scottish produce. The wonderful Waxy O’Conner’s Bar has 6 unique bars set over 3 floors, which are joined by a maze of passageways. Important Info:
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. Please note that West George Street is closed to all vehicles except busses and taxis from 07.00 to 19.00 daily. Therefore no offloading is possible during these times. The executive lounge is available during the day (before 5pm) & in the mornings without a booking. In the evening when the alcohol is served, a 2.5 hour time space needs to be pre-booked. At either 5 or 8pm. This can be booked on arrival. The charging of any large battery (eg Electric bike or scooter battery) is strictly prohibited in our bedrooms.

- The location was perfect for getting around the city... right next to Queen Street Train Station and the Buchanan Street subway station.
- The staff and the location. The room was spacious, with a desk and open mini-bar. Very thoughtful.
- We stayed with the hotel for our first and last days in Scotland and they were so exceptionally nice. The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. Perfect location in the city as the airport transfer bus drops you off right outside.
Cons -
- Our only window viewed a rooftop with equipment and ducts which was surrounded by the six floors of rooms above us so it was completely dark and no view of the city at all. Very claustrophobic. The restaurant food was average but the waitress was great
- Disappointed that there was no bar for residents ohevthan he exc lounge. Wouldavebeen appropriate to inform guests a time of bookin havall rooms faced inwards into central services
- There is nothing we did not like. This was a fantastic hotel.
