Royal Hotel Cardiff by Belvilla

Location was excellent, hotel met our expectations, did not use restaurant/ breakfast, discount for carpark was great

Location was good , room was clean and bed was comfortable

The charge for leaving suitcases for the afternoon after checkout was not expected- we have left suitcases at other hotels for no charge.

The bed was nice.

There was no fridge in the room. The safe was on the floor beening disabled i could not get on the floor to use it. The bathroom had no working vent at all. The bathroom bins had not been emptied. There was dirty sanitary products left in there and the room did not smell good. Told day staff and they did not care at all. Hair dryer blow up in my hand. Was extremely upset about the whole experience . Will never ever use them again. There was no facility to order food in the evening. I could go on and on. I am a Cardiff girl and if I were a visitor there for my first time that is an horrible first way to see Cardiff.

Big clean room, comfy beds and good location and it was quiet. The room.had a smart tv so could use all Internet Apps and the WiFi connection was good. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. Good hotel discount for local parking

Nothing to complain about

I stayed with 2 friend both with motobility scooter, lift to reception, and lift to rooms. Very friendly staff, room clean and spacious, central to amenities, will be booking to stay again.

Can't wait to book again.

Friendly welcome upon arrival, clean spacious room, comfortable beds. Great location in the city centre. Perfect walking distance for the Utilita arena.

Musty smell in the reception area

Bed was really comfy, great location, staff really friendly and nice. Everything thing was clean and tidy.

A bit slow with refreshing the hot food breakfast, although food was good just wasn't amazing.I did love that there was a lot options though and plenty of fresh juice.

Comfortable bed, clean quiet room. And a pleasant bar to relax at the end of the day. The central location made it easy to find.Worth taking the lift up to reception on arrival.

The reception smelt very damp

Steps outside of hotel are very slippy & dangerous! No attempt to mop up rain. Steps do not have grip strip.Do not eat there - hygiene rating of 4!Weatherspoons 2 mins walk & half the price!

Spacious triple room with ample storage , tea / coffee making facilities , ironing board , iron & hairdryer , very clean Very comfortable beds with choice of pillows . Quiet area but walking distance to centre . Excellent cost saving at NCP car park

Didn’t have breakfast as we thought the cost at £14 per person was a bit steep ( Wetherspoons across the road )

Great location. The superior rooms were large and comfortable and had everything you need. Large comfortable bed.

The hot breakfast items were poor quality and dried out. But there is plenty of continental choice.

Location is fantastic. Can't get a better spot than right on St Mary's. Its very quiet in the hotel considering the surrounding night life. Staff very accommodating, and a 24/7 manned reception. Comfortable bed, and a good hot shower.

TV in the room was a bit outdated, not a smart TV.

We had requested a city view, but the only room available was at the back of the hotel and looked over the bus station. The bathroom is in need of improvement - there are no handrails and the built-in non slip mat is worn (and not non slip). IIt is quite difficult to make tea in a dark cupboard.There is no fridge in the room.

We have stayed before and love the ambiance, rooms, staff and location. We had a great time. Thankyou.

The location was great. The room was a good size. The room was clean.

It was like maze. Lots of rooms, signage could have been better.

The location was ideal, right in the heart of the centre. The room was much really comfortable and spacious. The kettle and coffee was a great bonus I wasn't expecting!

A minor improvement would be to have shower curtains as there was water on the bathroom floor after showers that was unavoidable.

Superior room was a good size & comfortable.The hotel is in a perfect position to explore Cardiff. We would certainly book again.
