The Masons Arms Hotel

Friendly welcome, good food, lovely room decoration and comfort.

Quite noisy being adjacent to a busy road junction. No socket by the bed was a bit of a pain.

The breakfast very good. The outer building looked tired

Room too cold. Radiator not on when went in.

Nice atmosphere, clean rooms and cosy. Easy check in and check out.

Thought it had a restaurant for dinner but unfortunately not open on Mondays when I stayed there.

Easy access location. Clean and comfortable. Great atmosphere with very friendly service. Good food.

A double mattress on the bed would have been better than two singles, but still very comfortable.

Really nice friendly place to stayMeal was lovely and breakfast was really good staff very helpful will look forward to return and stay again

It was a last minute booking due to visiting a relative in hospital. The staff were great & so accommodating & friendly. The food was amazing (dinner & breakfast) even though they were so busy with Xmas parties they still made sure we were happy with everything. Our room was very clean & comfortable with the best pillows!! Great place & we will definitely be back. You are all fantastic, thank you again.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, we needed to get away early so they were happy to start breakfast at 7am on a Sunday morning for us. Huge & delicious Full English breakfast. The locals were enjoying the pub on a Saturday night so had a good vibe. Dinner options were good. Room and bathroom were clean, bed and pillows were great, tea/coffee, bottled water and biscuits. Free parking. Small local pub feel that is owned privately.

Price was a little high but it seems a pricier part of the UK anyway. Having the full breakfast made it reasonable. There isn’t a welcome desk, enquire at the bar, & walking the bags through the bar area, but understandable given the traditional building.

Good location for where I was working. Room was comfortable.

No food being served in the evening as the chef was ill. While not the hotels fault you would expect there to be more than one person there that could cook.

Staff friendly and helpful. Food plentiful and well presented. Comfortable room, nice size for a couple.

Small carpark. Shower over the bath causes access issue for people with lower limb disabilities.

Really friendly staff in the hotel, bar and restaurant. I don’t usually give reviews but I had to for the Mason. Honestly, everyone is so welcoming. I want to mention just how clean the rooms are. My room was the cleanest room I have ever stayed in and I have traveled the world. The cleaning team need a massive pay rise for their attention to detail. The taps and shower screen were spotless. They obviously look after the rooms like they are their own. Thank you all so much and Jess in the Resturant big thanks for your friendly and welcoming chat. Tyron

I loved everything

Local to our relativesFriendly staffLovely clean roomExcellent food

All good

Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent full English breakfast. Lovely staff, very friendly. Plenty of parking space.

I stayed here for the Elvis weekend, in room 3. It was spotlessly clean, all staff were excellent, and the friendly locals were most welcoming. I will return next year.

Great breakfast and good evening mealThe room (2) was nice, lovely and cleanThe staff were friendly

It took a while to find the person who could give us the key to the room.I was surprised that the window cleaner washed our window at a quarter to eight on a Sunday morning, but we were awake and dressed anyway. It was just unexpected.Fire alarm mid way through the evening, but that was no problem.

We had room 2 - it was spacious with wardrobe hanging space. Decoration is a good standard and fun! Breakfast was freshly cooked and coffee strong :). Evening food was well cooked. Over all the team there are helpful, engaging and very hard working. Hotel room lovely and warm, large towel rail to keep all the towels toasty!

It can't be helped but the noise from outside the room (traffic and extractor fans) when the windows were open for fresh air was a little distracting. However, we knew that it is on a main road so this is more for others to be aware.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Room was perfect for our stay. Breakfast was very good.

Nothing to dislike at all.

Very friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable room and excellent freshly cooked breakfast

Nothing to complain about at all

Staff were so friendly and gave us 1st class service. Wonderfully clean throughout. Great food.

We did not expect much, given the cost we paid, but were really impressed. Great bed room, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, good staff service, and massive breakfast.

breakfast was freshly cooked to order , staff were polite and friendly good value on the meals in the evening

Wi-Fi password not in the room had to go down and ask.
