- The facilities are good and the staff were helpful
- Pub and the swimming pool
- Swimming pool. Restaurant staff friendly. Delicious food, evening meal & breakfast!
Cons -
- Third time we stayed here so I upgraded to an executive suite with breakfast, rather than a standard double room. The suite is advertised as 'SOUND PROOF' which is a lie, as me and my two girls had a noise complaint at 10:15 for watching a film and laughing. Also the breakfast was not good. Everything looked freshly prepared but it was stone cold, VERY disappointed with our stay
- Very dated bathroom and broken light fixtures
- Did hope to get rooms a little closer than what given. Reception staff not as friendly as restaurant staff. When booking we were sure it stated that breakfast was included however it wasn't so had to pay an additional price!! Then had to wait longer for our room to be ready even though checking was at 3pm.

They had an onsite car park, kids play area and pool
The room was very dated. I had asked in advance to get the sofa bed made up for my son. It was not done and the hotels messaging service (no phones in the room) did not work. I had kids and on my own so this was inconvenient. I had to manage the housekeeper myself after visiting reception as the manager was not interested. We had to wait around half an hour to get the room ready. The cleaning service did not clean and simply moved used towels back to the bathroom so it was unclear who’s were who’s. It was overpriced.
Pool was lovely and we enjoyed sauna and steam room and jacuzzi. Room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was average with not huge choice of food. Not worth £18 if you psid full price. Location was ok but bit out of town if walking difficulty.
Nice and clean, nice staff, just busy as it was half term but not the hotels fault at all
£16 parking fee not stated anywhere untill I turned up
It was fine
The complete lack of interaction to resolve a car parking charge. £77 for 2 days parking instead of £32
Bed was comfy
Went for executive room.. no slippers, no robes, no water in room. Asked at desk, but they never supplied them. Didn't give access code to side gate. Floors were filthy. Both in room, hallways and on stairs. Nothing in room with information on how to contact customer services. The tv mentions it but no number. No menus in room. Whole experience was a massive disappointment will definitely not be coming again.
Breakfast was good, most of the staff were great, pool was a big bonus for the children.
We may be stupid but we could not work the lift at first and no one told us how to upon check in. It wasn't just us however and we had to help a few people once we figured it out. The food service in the evening was quite disorganised so probably would not take the evening meal there again.
The staff were welcoming and friendly
The room was for 2 adults and 2 kids it’s all on booking at 10pm at night we had to open the sofa and go down stairs to ask for pillows and duvet the room was not set up for us at £184 you would expect this ! Especially as you knew it’s 4 of us pad booking
The foyer area was nice, the bar to the side was convenient for chilling in the hotel.
Bed was dirty when we arrived but didnt notice till later when we got into bed, staff seemed a bit unorganised, misleading mentioning a mini bar when it was just a mini fridge you had to put your own drink into. All in all wouldnt stay again.
It was nice that the facility had a pool, steam room and sauna.
The restaurant and bar are excessively expensive. The car park costs £10, but it was £16 because it was a school holiday. At the evening reception, breakfast was said to cost £12. When I wanted to pay for breakfast in the morning, I was told it was £16. Their pricing policy is very poor.
Pool and the gym
Cooling system was not working
It was in a great location.
Although it was very clean there was and awful smell coming from the bathroom like sewage. Also on the first night next door guest was very loud sounded as if the had a room full of kids. The went bed late and woke us up very early, second night was a lot quieter.
Breakfast was good , and facilities are comprehensive we loved the children’s play area. Swimming pool and jacuzzi is great although a bit overcrowded over half term!
Lockers , very alarming that there is no locks and looks scruffy using padlocks my room didn’t have a telephone and we had to tune the TV to get it to work. The changing room was almost water logged and I didn’t see much staff attending the facility on Monday evening. Given that it was busy should have put somewhere there to make sure the place was clean and tidy.
Good
The room wasn’t ready at 3pm, we were offered a free drink and told to wait for half an hour, still not ready. Went to the pool, no secure locks on lockers but we had our valuables with us. We were given free parking for the inconvenience. Key card stopped working before the end of our stay. Had to walk back to reception.
I enjoyed our free upgrade due to issues with our first room
When arriving it was nice but upon further inspection. There was multiple dark brown sains all over the bed sheets
Staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Position is good for the city centre. Our room was large, well appointed and reasonably equipped.
No room telephone. Temperature control didn’t work and hence was unable to report directly any faults. Siting of ‘stand alone’ toilet strange, quite a way from bed and bathroom.
For the price, having a pool, steam room and jacuzzi was great! I loved the restaurant and decor. Room was big but bedding and towels could have been nicer. Staff were really fab.
The sauna wasn’t working (wasn’t a problem for me) but the bedding and towels were a bit disappointing.
It was amazing so well kept, staff were incredible and so helpful with my kids age 8 and 9 and they were so friendly, my kids loved the staff they were so helpful at breakfast when they ran ahead of me and I didn’t expect it, just the nicest people, amazing breakfast, so informative for the meals at dinner, reasonable prices, mini kids play are for mainly under 10 but my my 2 loved it, me and my kids loved the pool and jacuzzi, thank you all
