The setting, the staff were very nice and helpful answering our crazy tourist questions ¿¿ The food in the pub was amazing too!

Lovely room & furnishings. Lovely outdoor area with pods. Great breakfast too!

The only thing I would say is location as we thought only a 5 minute car journey away from Cardiff (according to website). This is a little misleading as it was in fact 11 miles from centre of Cardiff.

Fabulous location. Very peaceful and quiet. Very busy pub ( a good plus) excellent outdoor facilities for young children. Rooms (1 & 3) were Brill. Very spacious and well appointed. Very comfy beds. Superb breakfast on the Monday morning. Overall Rating - pretty perfect for the price we paid.

I believe that the cost for room and breakfast was very reasonable.The food was fine and the staff friendly.

There was a good choice of items for breakfast and the cooked options were tasty and plentiful. Karen who served our breakfast was attentive & friendly, Maisie who we met at the evening meal had an excellent knowledge of the meals & described a dessert we were considering in wauth watering detail

The geographical location of the Inn caused internet reception at a low level with a quality that was intermittent

What an absolute gem ?.. Location, Venue & fabulous staff. Car secure overnight as remote location. No complaints ?

In an ideal world, direct access to the accommodation without going through the pub, but I'd live with that every day of the week.

Awful check in process- had to check in with bar staff who were very busy which delayed the checking in. Woman behind the bar very rude and unpleasant, we nearly turned away. No Wi-Fi, after asking the staff, the reply was ‘they will reset when they get time! This was never done.. breakfast was disappointing, nothing special and very little food! The waitress serving breakfast had a bad attitude towards another guest, telling him she’s run off her feet so he will have to wait.. even though there were only us and another family! Room quite small and door lock quite stiff.. would never stay here again, didn’t feel welcome, felt like a burden.. positives:- great playground for kids & nice indoor play centreGood parking

Fabulous stay!! Great location for a visit to Barry Island. Perfect for family, soft play, park, nice breakfast, views, plus free parking which was a bonus. Staff were lovely, couldn’t fault anything. We’d definitely stop here again. 10/10.

All the staff we encountered were excellent helpful kind polite. The food we had in the restaurant was of a very good standard. Our room very cosy and clean. Great breakfast choices.

Nothing to complain. Nice and clean room. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is outdoor playground and big playground inside where you can sit and eat too. Food was tasty. Definitely will stay there again

Nothing to dislike

Staff were really kind and helpful. It is a family run business. There was an issue with the room's central heating but the staff were so kind and helpful. They sorted it out for us.

The room's description mentioned wall sound proofing but that wasn't the case. I could hear people's noise from downstairs in the pub!

I had an amazing stay! The bed was possibly the biggest bed I have ever stayed in, with the smart TV and the bath just completing the room to be the perfect size to create the best relaxing weekend getaway. Not to mention the delicious breakfast and the extremely friendly staff who go above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable as possible - for example phoning me when I was arriving to ask if I wanted any food when I got there before they closed the kitchen. Extremely considerate and a very lovely touch!

Great place ! Clean and warm!

We stayed in room 4, above kitchens! Some sort of electrical item kept clicking on and off! When we complained the staff said all fans are switched off at night! No other help offered! No other room offered ! Disappointed with the response!

Nice location, lovely pub food, fine breakfast, comfortable room and friendly helpful staff.

Wi-Fi was very poor. The guest Wi-Fi would not connect at all and the backup system was so slow as to be not worth using apart from very basic email checking. Not really suitable for business use.

Lovely county pub, comfortable quiet room, plenty of parking and fantastic evening meal.

Breakfast lady needed to go back to bed and start again, not very friendly at all
