Pros +
- Location and staff were great. It was a clean, secure place and all the necessary elements of a hotel room like TV, soap, towels, shower, etc were in place.
- I really enjoyed the central location in the Gothic Quarter. The walks were fairly short to everything we wanted to see.
- Staff were very helpful, location was great
Cons -
- The room was very small and the floor quite heavily slanted, almost to the point where I wondered if the building was safe.
- Rooms were very warm with no ventilation. Bathroom was small and oddly laid out, which made the toilet hard to use
- I didn’t appreciate the significant difference in the decor and aesthetics of the lobby and the rest of the hotel. The stale, musty odor in the hallways and room were awful. Bedding..I think what is usually a comforter at the foot of the bed was a curtain or table cloth.

The staff was very nice and accommodating when I shared my shock and disappointment with our room. The lobby area is super cute, good aroma therapy, tastefully decorated, so good first impression. But once off the smallest of elevators to the hallway of rooms, it was like a different place. Looked like a low grade nursing home. Horrible smell on the 2nd floor and smallest room with no window, no circulation, AC not working properly, foul odor in our room similar to hallway, no hot water in shower, etc. I asked the front desk what my options were, they moved me and my daughter to a larger room with a window the next day. A clear improvement, but still on the 2nd floor and not the kind of room I would chose to book in the future.

The staff was excellent but the room wasn't great. I was also by an elevator which I heard all night and the window faced a wall and all I could do was crack it, not even open the shades. I wasn't told about this until I was just about to check in. There was nowhere to store food at all either or even ice to keep drinks cold. Also, the water machine claimed to have cold water but didn't.
The lack of just some basic luxuries like a washcloth. I had to use toilet paper to wash my face because I was worried about dirtying the towels with my makeup. Also, I basically had a curtain as a blanket and the room was freezing, even with the air conditioning off. I probably should have just stayed at a hostel.
The location was great and the fact that it was possible to leave our luggage at the hotel before our check-in and after checkout was really helpful. Dimmed lights also provide quite a vibe.
The rooms are really noisy, constantly hearing sounds from the neighbors, having earplugs is a must! The shower was very bad - low water pressure in the evenings and the water temperature was really unstable, mostly cold. Pillows were really thin and uncomfortable.
The hotel is in the centre of city hall and gothic area
No ventilation at all
Very nice staff and security for the entrance door. And I was there just for luggage storage in the morning but they checked the room and let me checked in earlier. The room is very clean and comfortable.
If they have a electric kettle and a fridge in a room and a tv which can become connected to YouTube/Netflix, it would be perfect:)
The lobby looked nice and the location was excellent. The staff was always present at the front desk to help and provide recommendations and always offered to clean the room every day.
The room was tiny and had no windows. The room smelled horrible (sewage smell, coming out of the shower drain) and we could clearly hear the (loud) conversations of everyone in adjacent rooms. There was no fridge or coffee maker in the room. The hallways and stairwells were grimy and smelled strongly of a mix of cleaning products and filth. The hot water worked only intermittently. There was nowhere to keep luggage. The bed was very uncomfortable. The lights flickered a lot when in use.
Location, not much else.
Size of room was small, no window just a light that went to a tunnel to the roof?
Fantastic location in the Gotic quarter. Easy walk to most sights and super easy access to Metro.
Like all old buildings, a bit of sound issue with neighbors in the room next door. AC kept temperature fine, but doesn't circulate air much. Solved both issues with a small cheap fan from a nearby hardware store.
Great location. Easy access to shopping, restaurants and many sights.
Our room on the third floor had a terribly strong perfume smell. The entire floor had the odor and all rooms were full so we could not change to another floor. Other guests were complaining about the same smell as we checked out.
Location and building itself were so great. Love that it's a vintage hotel built in the 50's. Rooms had limited space but beds were so comfy and clean. Would definitely stay there again. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Walls were a bit too thin, I was able to hear everything from the hallways to inside peoples rooms from inside my room.
Hotel room had no windows or exterior ventilation, and AC did not function properly
Property staff were great. Rooms not as appeared in photos, extremely small. Also, bed was perhaps the most uncomfortable bed we’ve slept on and we travel quite a bit. The entire facility had a bad smell as well. Not happy with our visit.
See above.
Great location if you want to be by all the touristy things and shops. The staff was VERY nice and helpful. The rooms were cleaned well and the hotel was very clean.
This was THE WORST bed I have ever slept on..I might as well have slept on the floor. My AC did not work. The wifi went in and out constantly. My room had a window that faced a wall and was then frosted so it was dark in my room the entire stay - which really messed with my sleep (in addition to it being very hot in the middle of a heat wave. I chose a hotel over an Airbnb so I could have consistent AC, Wifi and a good bed.. and I had none of those things. If I had not paid for almost a week in advance, I would have left and booked something else, it was that uncomfortable.
It was at the centre of La rambla
Tiny rooms plus they started construction early in the morning
Very clean and comfortable rooms and beds, location is excellent and staff were very nice. Nothing exceptional of course but a very good hotel to explore the city.
Location
Size, air conditioning was not working. All units say ac but it only as heat
Good location. Front desk staff were nice.
It smelled like sewage in my room so so much for a couple of days. I thought it would go away eventually but it didn’t so I told them and they got me a new room. Super grateful he was receptive to it and changed me and found me a room with a window. Also, (they do clearly mention this but) the original room I had had a “window” but it was directly into the elevator shaft. Noisy especially at night when you try to sleep. Water took almost 10 mins (sorry for waste!) to heat up.
