    • The location

    Cons -

    • Extremely small room.Bed not for 2 adults. No space for luggage. Noisy.Woken up each morning by maids or guests outside/next door room. Deck closed too early- couldn't use.Leaking water from shower/bath. Blocked sink required servicing.Extra fees added.
    • It is an merge of two hotels. It is not quite easy to reach the my room.
    • The beds were very hard, made it difficult to sleep. We were exhausted from sight seeing so we made it work but this is probably one of the hardest beds I've slept on in my lifetime.

Very friendly and helpful staff, very dog friendly with a dog bed, feeding dishes and snacks in the room ready. Very nice breakfast. Excellent location in the centre of Barcelona within walking distance of main attractions. Good parking options too, even for a larger vehicle ( VW Multivan). Will definitely use again for another visit. Good price as well.

The room was a little dated but very clean

Hotel is comfortable and the possibility to easy check-in with extra payment was helpful that day.

A bit renovations e.g bathroom can improve the services. Maybe check-in, especially for people that already be asked to do check-in advance and did it, should not take so long :)

A good location for a hotel. Transportation and shops are nearby, and it's convenient to get to the airport.

The early check-in fee was an unpleasant surprise. The day before check-in, I was informed in a message through Booking.com that there would be an extra 30 euros. But when I arrived tired, the receptionist asked for 70 euros, pointing out that it was an extra tax! More than 50%??? I recommend double-checking your payment!

I personally loved all the staff. They were always kind, smiling, and helpful. The room is very spacious and always clean, and the breakfast is comprehensive and hearty. The location is safe, I went out for a run early in the morning before sunrise a few days and had no issues with safety or any kind of inconvenience

I don't have any negative points to report. The hotel is simple and a bit dated, but cozy and clean. For the price paid, it exceeds all expectations

The location was great for exploring Barcelona on foot.

The room was smaller than it appeared in the pictures.

Very central. 10 minutes walk to the Station.

For the price I paid the bathroom can be better. Also right next to the elevator. Made noise all the time even when we were sleeping.

I seldom leave bad comments but this one really surprised me both good and bad ways.Good about this hotel:1. The price is okay considering the space you can get and the really cute welcome card and bottle of water.2. The location is quite convenient, really center and close to the metro station. Several cafe and bars around it.

Bad about this hotel:1. Wifi name written on the room card can’t be found and no similar name to search either.2. I had a shower in the night and the water was lukewarm even I turned the hot water all the way on. I thought it was because of Spanish people shower in the morning, so I tried again next morning at 10 am, but the hot water is more or less the same, just slightly warmer…3. Right after my morning shower, someone was knocking at my door. I had to put on my clothes very quickly, because they knocked the second time after I said I was coming to the door. After I opened the door, nobody was there and then a staff came out somewhere and asked me if I needed anything and since I was just in my room preparing to check out, why would I need anything? It was really an unpleasant experience.4. Sunotel junior is under renovation so I had to go through Sunotel Aston, which I don’t mind. The connecting hallway was long and winding which was just annoying. But the elevator was scary, that every time it arrives, it bumps up and drops heavily which was really scary…I think for one night or two is okay, but with this price you can have better options.

    Pleasant

Was very cold in the room 19,5-20 only. For a few times we asked at the reception to check it and unfortunately they didn’t fix the heating system and the problem was not only in our room.

The staff were very friendly. At the end of our stay, Aylin was at reception. A good vibe, always attentive. They even prepared a little surprise for my mother's birthday without us telling them anything. They cleaned the room every day and changed the towels in the bathroom.

The bathroom was a bit small. Our room was right next to the elevator. It was a little noisy because of that, but overall it was fine.

    Content of my experience.

Next time I will book at the Aston twin hotel (same property split into two back-to-back hotels) to get a bigger room.

Room was nice, breakfast was super. Stuff was very helpful.

Pool was cold ( end of September normal) and jacuzzi was a bit dirty. But overall I'd recommend the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and accommodated us hours before the check in after a tiring flight. The room was cozy, and they changed the towels everyday after our leave to the city, and cleaned the room each time. Also they offered my friend, who celebrated her birthday, local chocolate and a postcard, which was very nice of them!

This hotel deserves more than two stars. Our stay was exceptional, we valued the cleanliness and extremely helpful staff. Every receptionist was welcoming us with a smile and whenever we needed help with anything, they were happy to assist. We had a phone charger that broke during our stay and the receptionist lent us an extra one with no additional charges. We had an unfortunate event, not related to the hotel, but the receptionist offered his guidance on how to proceed and expressed his sympathy. We were welcomed with a free bottle of water and candy bars. The hotel offered room service every day, which we did not use, and every day we would get a card under the door, that if we do require changing towels after all, we can inform the receptionist. The only thing a bit unintuitive, which does not impact our very high opinion of the hotel, is the entrance - there is Sunotel Aston and there is Sunotel Junior, the entrance to our Sunotel Junior was closed from the street and there was a map on how to get to Sunotel Aston, which we did not understand at first, luckily a helpful man on the street helped us find the right door across the street corner. Once we were inside Sunotel Aston, the receptionist guided us on how to reach Sunotel Junior, it did require some moving up and down in the elevator or on the stairs and some walking through corridors. But again, this does not impact our opinion, just putting it here for informative purposes for other guests.
