Hotel Vilamari

Staff was very welcoming and helpful during our entire stay, we ended up extending our stay due to the great service and attention we received. Specially during hard travel times, the staff was beyond helpful even calling and scheduling Covid Test for us.

The hotel is lacated near Place de Espagna - the center of public transport. Many restaurants and Arenas shopping mall in the proximity. The beds are super large and comfortable. The hotel gave us the rooms at 11h am although the hotel day starts at 3h pm. It helped us to schedule our day perfectly.

Everything was really great, nothing to complain about.

This hotel offers a beautifully designed space with thoughtful touches throughout. The lobby decor is particularly impressive and sets a welcoming tone from the moment you arrive. Our room was clean, well-maintained, and satisfactory for our needs.The staff truly made our stay memorable – they were exceptionally helpful and polite at every interaction. We especially appreciated the complimentary umbrellas during Barcelona's rainy weather, and the breakfast offered a great variety with something for everyone.

The bathroom plumbing was notably loud, which became disruptive at night. Unfortunately, the bathroom door is positioned very close to the bed, making it difficult to fall asleep when noise from the toilet or pipes carried into the room.Regarding the view: we didn't pay extra for a premium view, but our room overlooked only a stairwell, providing virtually no natural light. The room description could be clearer about this, as it felt somewhat misleading.

On the positive side—the staff is courteous, and the internet is fast.

Of all the four-star hotels I stayed at in Barcelona, I liked this one the least. The entire hotel has a strong sweetish odor, which is very difficult for people with a sensitive sense of smell. It's clear that the rooms and the hotel itself are not new, and the furniture is inexpensive. I didn't notice when booking that there is no safe, and it was a huge disappointment. I was very surprised this hotel has such a high rating.

The hotel has a bathtub and a comfortable bed. Overall, the location is very convenient if you need a place not far from the city center.

room is small, and it’s especially noticeable in the bathroom because it’s hard to move around without bumping into something. If you decide to take a bath, you’ll notice how the room becomes very stuffy right away. The window doesn’t open, so you’re relying entirely on the ventilation. I especially felt a strong lack of fresh air.The parking is paid (around €20) and very tight. We have a large car, so it was quite difficult to drive in and out.

Nothing to complain about, really: what you see in the pictures is what you get.Easy access to metro/busses. It takes 5 minutes to get to/from the Aerobus, it is very convenient if you arrive in Barcelona by plane.

I stayed at the hotel in November, 2025. At this time the room service was externalised. My experience with the externalised room service was very bad: after two hours the food was still not delivered. Nobody was answering my phone calls and the website was down. I ended up cancelling the order by mail.My advice: if the room service is not provided by the hotel, don't bother ordering.

The AC didn’t work very well, the bathroom door don’t provide much privacy, the shower was obstructed.

The hotel is up to standard in many ways. Just 1 thing bothered me.

The water from the floor above me could be heard through the shafts, echoing in my room and waking me whenever water was used--from the shower to the sink to the toilet. I told reception about it and they said it really was like that.

Hotel location is near the old feria and arena shopping center, in a quite avenue, staff very kind.

Rooms isolation is not very good, I was able to listen entries, exits and sometime loudly talks from near room. Hairs in the bathroom at arrival were not a great welcome but it may happen a mistake. Breakfast not very generous in terms of food assortment, but good and some fresh fruits were appreciable. Check in is very late and rooms availability denied regardless of a early arrival announced. Room is small and wardrobe minimal even in double room single use.

The hotel had great facilities — including a lift, bar, and gym — and everything was clean and well maintained. The location was excellent, with plenty of public transport options nearby, including the Aerobus to the airport. The room was small but comfortable, and we really appreciated being able to check in early. Overall, it offered great value for the price

The room could have been a bit larger, but given the affordability and location, it was still a great deal.

We left the room in the morning hours to find a coffee/pastry shop. There were many homeless along the streets. Most of the shops around the hotel were out of business. We stopped at a store and were strongly cautioned to guard our valuables because of the homeless.

The location. I had read reviews and they said the place was safe and central to all attractions. It was not safe and was not close to anything.

Excellent front of house staff who offered help before we arrived and were very forthcoming whenever we had questions about the city, tours or eating out.
