Maldà Singular Hotel

CoolRooms Malda is a small hotel in a fantastic location to enjoy Barcelona. It is also very cutely decorated, has helpful staff, and had everything we needed for our short stay.

I believe we booked their smallest room class and the room was indeed very small. It was difficult to arrange our luggage, toiletries, etc. so that we could easily access them during our stay.

From walking in to the front desk and being offered Cava as we checked in, to the excellent service to make our stay welcoming. Great location in Barcelona. So happy we stayed.

Great location in the gothic quarters, easy to find with the description from the hotel. Really great value for money, everything feels very luxurious. The receptionist Stacy upgraded me for free when she saw I was staying through my birthday, a really wonderful gesture. Room was very spacious and so was the bathroom and the amazing shower. Great bed and GREAT soundproofing, I almost didn’t hear anything, which was amazing. Highly recommend!

Great location. Very comfortable stylish room. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

There is no marked entrance to the hotel. I would have been left outside in the dark if it was not for a guest that assisted me with gate to the mall entrance and elevator. I helped another guest when they arrived as well.

Once we found the elevator, smooth sailing! Staff was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and overall excellent. We traveled with friends. Our room was small but clean and comfortable! This hotel was located in old town area which was exactly where we wanted to be! Thank you. We will return and stay again.

Was a little tough to find which was my fault for not reading the email that was sent.

Location was great & felt safe.

Air conditioner did not work. Fridge did not seal properly so no cold water. Room was too small.

Liked the location and staff.

No a/c in room and lobby. Mold in shower. No chair in room. We have stayed at many hotels and the value for the room was too high.

The location was great – just 5 minutes from the metro and 2 minutes from the cathedral. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly.

The only downside was that you could hear other guests opening and closing their doors – it sometimes sounded like it was our own door.

Had to go somewhere else

I had 3 rooms. The air conditioner did not work in 2 of the rooms. This was during a heat wave. The check in process was too slow. Location not good.

Nice size rooms and bathrooms

Need signs in mall and detailed instructions on how to get there. The taxi could not get to the hotel due to blocked streets. Google maps was not usefulBecause the hotel is in a mall.

Finding it at first was a tiny bit tricky but actually that made the place more of a hidden gem and authentic.

First it has an amazing location, in the center of the gothic quarter, close to a metro station, it's located above a small shopping center, and was very easy to find. The hotel staff was pleasant, and it felt clean and smelled fresh.The room itself felt clean and fresh, and was nicely designed, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large, and water pressure was great. And a small detail, the towels were large and it was very much appreciated.Would definitely recommend!

Only one chair, inadequate for two guests.No work space (desk, small table, ledge??) for laptop use.Queen bed was quite high for us, (both elderly and under 5ft 6"). had to use chair to get into bed.

Great location, very clean and tidy room, really liked the toiletries. The person who checked us in noticed it was my birthday on my Passport and surprised us with a bottle of Cava once we had settled in. Location was perfect for us, close to cool shops and restaurants and easy to get to and from the airport on the Bus which drops you at Placa Catalunya, 8 minute walk from the hotel.

The location is amazing!

I paid for a suite but the room they gave us was NOT a suite. They tried to claim the desk was the sitting area (as guaranteed for every suite in their website). They did eventually move us to a true suite but the experience and employee’s attitude soured the stay.The sink and bath tub area of the bathroom was great, however the shower and toilet configuration was odd. They were crammed into a small section do the bathroom with the toilet less than two feet directly across from the shower. You couldn’t open the shower door out very far. The room showed wear and tear but overall a good value for money.
