El Sant Cugat, 4 estrellas superior

This was a perfect property for us - we went to visit our son who is living in Sant Cugat. Easy 15 minute walk to the train into and out of Barcelona. The monastery was beautiful and the cathedral very impressive. Huge park and numerous shops and restaurants The local train makes travel around the area very easy! The lounge and bar were nice, with lots of outdoor space and a great menu. Breakfast was not included, but we did have it one of the mornings. It was good, even if a little pricey.

Comfortable and well located in center Sant Cugat, a lovely small town on the outskirts of Barcelona.

This property was the perfect location for us! Clise to the train station, restaurants, shops and our family in Sant Cugat! Clean, comfortable and large room. Good breakfast although we ate at local places mostly. Friendly and helpful staff. Central location with a 15 min walk to the train into Barcelona.

Loved the breakfast and open air seating and proximity to the Monastery and central part of town.

Front desk staff at check in were carrying on a conversation with 3 other staff while checking in .

Confortable beds. Quiet room. Central location. Polite staff. Excellent correspondence in English.

Parking could have been less expensive.

Coffee machine.. It's time to switch to capsules. Just a minor issue.

Not enough free drinking water, breakfast starts too late and was very basic with mostly cold options (chocolate biscuits?) and badly cooked eggs. Rooms are good however glass shower curtain is non movable so to place the plug into the tub one has to either stand in the bath or risk a fall to lean over to run a bath. That’s dangerous for older guests who wish to run a bath. Face washers would also be appreciated.

The staff are top class; nothing was too much trouble; excellent service.

I am not a fan of fusion cooking…My amazing Catalan paella was ruined by the addition of a very overpowering teriyaki type sauce. Please revert to the amazing Spanish cuisine I know you are renowned for. Highly recommend the veggie salad ?

Beautiful well-maintained hotel in the heart of Sant Cugat. The beds were comfortable and staff were professional.

Excellent breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice - a first! Bread and pastries were really fresh. There was a varied choice of savouries as well. Also thoroughly enjoyed the live music with our evening meal. There was a real buzz.

Mattress quite hard for my liking and room temperature control didn't seem to change temperature much, also dried out the air in the room

The hotel was in the center and close to everything.The staff were very nice and helpful.We really enjoyed our visit.

Parking cost extra

We only used the room as we left early each morning to attend the MotoGP at Barcelona Circuit so didn't use the restaurant. The hotel was in a great location - we went into the town centre for the evening, which was a few minutes walk away.

Directions to the car park weren't very clear as there is a one way system. Only herbal tea in the room - luckily we always take some coffee sachets with us!

El Sant Cugat has friendly and helpful staff, at the reception desk and in the bar/restaurant. The room was spacious and comfortable, just as I remember it from a few years ago. I had a fine view of the monastery, as requested. The buffet breakfast has a satisfactory variety of fruit, cereal, eggs and bacon, bread/toast, croissants, cake, jam, cheese, meats etc, plus self-serve coffee and juice. The dining/lounge area is very pleasant for couples, groups or solo guests. I had some dishes from the restaurant, and was very pleased with them. I really like this hotel, the only one in the heart of Sant Cugat del Valles, just a short walk from the famous monastery, the main square and lots of pedestrians-only streets.

This hotel is a little on the expensive side, even if the standard is pleasing. The wifi performs just adequately, but it's a very open network providing little online security with its simple password.

The restaurant was overpriced and the food was not of the quality I would expect for the price.

Alex at the front desk was exceptionally helpful in finding us a quiet room. We also like the bar area and the ease of parking.

The evening bar staff was not particularly friendly and gave the impression they didn’t want to be there.Also, a barking dog was annoying for two days in a row.

Hotel is located in decent location, some 30 minutes to Barcelona downtown / Barcelona airport (considering you have a car to get around). Everything during our stay was ok, and really nothing complain about. Renovated, and silent rooms makes your stay without unwanted surprises.

The rooms are very ok but,... feels like naked, or something is missing...
