Pros +
- Great atmosphere, clean, central
- We really liked the cleanliness, the comfy beds, and the common area with lots of natural light.
- I carefully reviewed all the hostels. The things that were important to me were the safety of both myself and my belongings, being in a secure and preferably central location, the cleanliness and adequacy of the showers and toilets, and having a reasonable price. As a result of my research, I decided to stay at this hostel.I thought the lockers would be larger, but they weren’t (a 77 cm suitcase does not fit). This was not a problem though—I put my belongings inside and left my suitcase outside. Everyone was doing the same. You need to have a large lock. There were no issues with cleanliness. There are 2 toilets and 3 showers. In the shower area, you have a private space where you can hang your belongings and get dressed (I think this is important, as in some hostels there is only the shower and a shared area). Not many people stay at the hostel, so I never had to wait (low season). The toilets and showers were always clean. Sometimes there was a smell, but I think it was related to the building’s infrastructure, and it didn’t bother me much. There are two hair dryers available. Toilet paper was always available in the toilets. Seeing that even the curtains in the room had been washed and being sure of that made me very happy.I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm, and it felt very safe. No one from outside can enter the hostel, and there are security cameras. Guests are not allowed. You enter by ringing the bell, which I think is very good. This place is not suitable for those looking for parties or who want people coming in and out freely.Breakfast is available in the morning and is free (croissants, pain au lait, bread, jam, milk, margarine, cake). The staff are helpful and kind. I was very satisfied with my stay. I found everything I was looking for at a sufficient level. The location is more than perfect. If I come back to Barcelona, I will definitely stay here again and won’t look anywhere else. I hope this helps those who are looking for a detailed review.
Cons -
- I guess I don’t mind the location, even though it’s a bit far from my favorite Spanish supermarkets, but you can still walk there. And if you like to eat out, there are lots of different restaurant options nearby.
- Having to ring the bell to get inside. It was not really a problem as the staff was always really quick to open the door, regardless of the time of day.
- Seemed like there might not be enough showers and bathrooms but it seemed to work fine based on the number of guests. "Breakfast" was simply toast and some jams but a nice gesture for something to eat when first wake up. Sound travels into the room pretty easily...from people in the common areas, swinging door to the office and people walking the halls.

Everything! It was great! It was very clean, the location was quite central and the atmosphere was familiar, cosy and quiet. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The curtains for the beds provide good privacy. The terrace was a highlight, there was also a hammock.
Having to ring the bell to get inside. It was not really a problem as the staff was always really quick to open the door, regardless of the time of day.
The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel’s location was amazing to reach most famous tourist spots.
Great location close to the center and in a neighborhood with lots happening around it. Rooms were comfortable and appreciated under bed storage for luggage. Nice patio and common spaces. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. Bathrooms were clean. Appreciated ability to check in late.

Great location, amazing staff
Sound carries, linen was a bit harsh
Cozy hostel in a great location. Staff and people were nice. Very cute terrasse to hang out in.
One bath for too many beds..
The location is good, walking distance to restaurants and bars.
This place was a dump…. I can’t believe how many positive reviews it has. I fell for it and when I got there I was in shock. I have stayed in hostels before and the quality of this was definitely on the lower end. Yes, it’s Barcelona and it’s expensive but you can get a much better hotel for the price. The place is very old and worn down. I stayed in a 4 bed women’s only dorm. The bathrooms are next door and you can hear the water and all the noises from the bathrooms the entire time. The cleanliness did not exist. There’s only 2 or 3 shared showers for everyone and they did not appear clean. I avoided touching anything in here other having to use the bed. I arrived to the hostel at 11pm, if I had arrived earlier I would consider finding another place. Some of the staff is not friendly. Check out is at 10am, so I went to the desk at 9:40am and asked if I can check out about 5 to 10 minutes past 10. I waited in line for almost 10 minutes to speak to speak to staff. Then I was told that I will be charged for a late check out I am anything past exactly 10am. In the morning the bathrooms also have a wait. So if you have to be somewhere, get up early and get in Que.
Good price and location, small and quiet, not bad and nothing special, nightshift Mexican ladie was very helpful and kind. AC was working properly, very important during summer
The build up bathrooms a bit tight but I understand, nothing actually really bad now that I think of it
Good hostel in a very good location. The 6 persons dormitory was good, the kitchen bathroom was clean.
Location! It was very close to subway and Sagrada Familia. Staff were great! Air conditioning helps me to sleep in hot night! I did not have it, but there was free breakfast in the kitchen everyday.
Just very noisy outside.
Great staff( thanks ladies), lovely location close to many sights, restaurants and bars. Met some nice people and stayed there and it was a good way to make social as you travel. Lovely terrace to enjoy on a nice sunny day or summer evening. Curtains on beds, socket, reading light and luggage lockers are a plus. They can also do laundry for you at a little cost.
Being a hostel you always can't know the people in the room. The first night had a roommate who snored so loudly so hard to sleep. Bring good earplugs I guess this goes to all hostels. Also you'll have the odd person that leaves the toilet messy before cleaning happens. That's honestly on the guests and not the hostel.
The staff at reception were always ready to help.Convenient location: slightly away from the main tourist area (not so noisy)
The staff tried hard and often cleaned the hostel, but they used something with chlorine that caused a specific smell that I don't like. Also, having only one sink for the entire hostel to brush teeth was extremely insufficient! The same issue applied to the three shower stalls.
Female reception. Nice place building design was nice private terrace in the room (no smoking) but nice that we had this other Hostels don't have windows or terrace that opens.2nd day after no sleep because of 6am check ins and 10am cleaning... They held my bags I til 6pm and agreed to refund me, I am waiting for the refund now. At least they were reasonable with this since I was incovenienced during my stay
I had reserved two days to get some rest... Too bad reception allows people to check in at 6am and...... Then 10am cleaning people who are same people as reception came in and started turning lights on and cleaning... So I had no sleep. Imagine if someone checks in above you at 6am, locker of this person was next to my face... and then 10am people come in to clean.... You sleep barely few hrs. When I complained I was sleeping having paid the next day already, they told me to leave. I had flight on no sleep and although I had paid for next day I was rushed out which ruined my entire day.... They held my bags I til 6pm and agreed to refund me, I am waiting for the refund now. At least they were reasonable with this since I was incovenienced during my stay and got little rest having to move last min couldn't eat the food I cooked and couldn't take a shower.
I like most the staff. They were very accommodating and helpful.
What I didn't like was the noise created by some other guests at midnight.
Location was fine and most of the staff were helpful except for one who seem to be upset he’s working on a Saturday
They provided earplugs as you will need it and very small share bathrooms that thankfully was kept clean
Great location, was clean and well maintained, free breakfast, and kind staff.
Only two bathrooms and three showers so if you don’t mind waiting you’re good
Best hostel I've stayed at! Fantastic atmosphere with a cosy common area, lovely roof top with access through the common area. Exceptionally clean, quiet rooms, real bedlinen with a thick duvet. Marco, so sympathetic and helpful made my stay! I'll always stay here on my future visits to BCN (I come on a regular basis).
Very nice location, directly in the center. The outdoor place is very nice to hangout. There is also breakfast in the morning
The room has to window.
