Pros +
- Modern bedroom and friendly staff. Enough size for 3 days. Location very good.
- When I think of Casa Gracia, the first thing that comes to mind is the friendly Alfredo. This is my second time staying at this hotel, after 24 years. As expected, it was great. The view of the street from the room balcony was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and nice. You can walk to Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, and Sagrada Familia. The metro is right in front of the hotel, making it a great base for exploring. If I visit Barcelona again, I'll definitely stay here.Alfredo was great!
- Great location, comfortable bed
Cons -
- Next door there is a restaurant with special discounts for guests, nobody told us about, nor at reception not at restaurant despite we mentioned we were staying at casa gracia.Room looks bigger in the pictures and lift wasn't working most of the time.
- Showers were NOT hot, maybe at 3am.Staff seemed either new, rude, or uncaring...maybe I am used to smiling hospitality, but you wont get it from the front desk girls here.Rating: 6
- Cleaning and airflow in rooms can be improved but it's not bad.

Staff Alia at the reception helped us a lot, hostel location is just amazing. Rooms were comfy enough.
Cleaning and airflow in rooms can be improved but it's not bad.
Location was great, friendly staff (especially Aya), nice breakfast. Towels delivered (for free!) to your room upon request. The kitchen was huge and plenty of space to sit and eat.
I liked everything.
The location
I was too old It was not the pictures that where on the website. They send us to a different building. The beds where uncomfortable and the check in was an hour long.
We were in room 103, very accessible from both the ground floor and the breakfast area. Location was around lots of shopping, very close to public transportation, and many good food areas (including their own restaurant and bar!)
The bed was interesting because it was two separate mattresses that were combined under one sleeping pad, so if you slept in the middle, you would sink between them.
Nice, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Nice sitting areas around the hostel to relax in.
The staff at reception not overly friendly or helpful, especially at checkout, although it wasn't a busy moment.
Location
I didn’t receive the room I paid €450 for there wasn’t even a wardrobe or glass in the room to drink my own water out off
The girls dormitory was spacious, lots of storage spaces, private bathroom and clean overall. A good experience. Location was excellent.
The staff was not very friendly upon the arrival, an improvement of the attitude would be a plus.
Rooms were comfy, well located
It was so loud there all the time
The location is great
The room was a disaster. There were construction works going on outside. While I understand that some maintenance has to be done, and there is never perfect time to do so for the hotel, being woken up by workers outside your window at 6.00!!! in the morning is not anyone’s idea of an ideal stay, and guests should at least be warned about it in advance/prior booking (not even complaining about completely covered view and dirty windows due to works). On top of that, the room had been repainted just days before. The strong smell of fresh paint was unbearable and made the stay nearly impossible. To make matters worse, there was a HORRIBLE sewage smell in the bathroom overnight and the mattresses were old, used, and uncomfortable. The next morning, we asked for a room change. To be fair to the hotel, they agreed and moved us, but in the new room the heating in the AC didn’t work (close to 0 degrees outside). It was late at night already and it took a couple of hours for the hotel staff to fix the issue, and eventually we were moved to a third room (asked to pack go from the 3rd floor down to reception with all our stuff, and then some time later given the key to the room just next to the one we were staying at before - NO COMMENT). In this one, apart from a very worn-out and overly soft mattress, the rest was acceptable.Overall, it was a ridiculous experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone (and after 10 years of regurarly booking vatious places this is my first negative review, just to stress how horrible the experience was).
It was spacey, clean, Nice and friendly.
The location, price, the service.
Location in the city.
I got scammed with the room. They place me to sixth floor room with grey metallic bunk beds, without a proper see through window. When i open the window, building wall was against. I showed my booking “Bed with 4-bed female dormitory room with city view”. There is pictures of white wooden beds and clear normal window to the city.Receptionist told me when i came back to reception, that they have pictures of some other rooms in booking.com and in online. He said all the share rooms are like that with grey metallic beds, without a proper window. I told that is not okey with me, because i chose this hostel exactly because of the beds, because i can’t climb up using metallic stick stairs. I had to come back in the morning if i could upgrade for something else.In the morning other receptionist said also they use different pictures than the share rooms are in reality. I asked if those rooms even exist which pictures they use. She didnt really say anything. She said they might have something available, but there is not those kind of rooms. Later my third visit i got to see finally my new room, and that one was like in the picture. I got to change finally to the room which i paid for.I dont understand why they lie two times that these rooms does not exist. And it is obvious those rooms are not even this Casa Gracia hostels rooms, i was suppose to stay in completely wrong room for seven nights. I didn’t get any compensation or apologize, only a lie unfortunately. I could never risk it to book this hostel again. It’s against consumer protection, false information and misleading. It is not okey.
The cleanliness and the staff very friendly, also my roommates were the best
Nothin that needed to be with the property
This is the best hostel I’ve stayed at so far. I’ve never seen a hostel as clean as Casa Garcia. The rooms are cute, and the location is perfect everything is very close, and the metro station is just a 3-minute walk away. The staff were extremely nice, especially Eren at the reception. His English is very good, and he was very kind and helpful.I will absolutely return to this hostel and highly recommend it
Amazing location, very clean and spacious, nice kitchen and historical building, towels provided. Will definitely visit again!
Staff in general were very easy and positive especially Saint Alfredo who is very helpful and accommodating
Clean.
No TV, light too dim
We loved our stay at Casia Gracia, the location was amazing to explore the Gracia neighborhood and our view from the suite was fantastic. Thank you Alia for making our stay so special !
