Location and cleanliness and comfortable shower

Historic nature of the building, beautiful interior public spaces, kind staff, good location.

The wifi is terrible in the rooms, the shower floods if you aren't careful, TV is Spanish cable only

Location is great. Although at night, the alleyways are extremely unsafe.

- Boutique rooms are not all the same size. Mine was much smaller than my friend¿s - rooms were not ready at check in time and staff couldn¿t guarantee a specific timing as to when the room would be ready - staff is extremely rude and inhospitable.

The location is great. Very central.

Expected more from a four star hotel. The bathroom does not function well. Clean but not well designed. One of the nightstand chargers face a wall so it cannot be used.

Everything especially employees at the front desk. Perfect location, delicious breakfast, spotlessly clean room. Would definitely stay here again.

Lack of counter in bathroom and lack of shelf in the shower.

Staff extremely knowledgeable and friendly

The lower numbered rooms ie. 101 to 105, 201 to 205, etc. face the street. The windows are poorly insulated and the various street noises ( wild partying, homeless opera singers, street vendors, trash collectors, etc.) are not blocked out. Lost Sleep !

My shower had mould all within it. Being a severe asthmatic, it was not safe.

Shower stall-water flooded the bathroom floor even if I was extra careful.

The staff was extremely helpful and professional. The location is wonderful, just a block from Las Ramblas, which has many restaurants, plazas, and interesting sights.

I loved the space, decor, and amenities.

I had a room with breakfast included. I tried to schedule for breakfast to be delivered to my hotel room so I can get ready for my flight out of Barcelona but the hotel front desk had communication issues. I almost missed my flight because of their error

Location - easy to get to restaurants/local sites,etc.

Having stayed a another 4 star hotel previously to checking in to Hotel Espana, where I paid approx. 1/2 of the cost for a suite, I felt that the services/amenities were not there with Espana. My previous hotel included daily breakfast/turndown service.

The hotel is very nice on the inside and rooms were modern and clean. The location is very good also. There was nice roof top area with a small pool which would have been nice if it was summer.

The first room we had which was in the front of the hotel was nice and large and had balcony facing the street, but it had street noise. The second room was much smaller, but quiet. We never got the perfect room which would have been large and quiet.

It's NOT a 4 star hotel. Maybe it used to be...

My room smelled terribly of smoke (even though it was non-smoking), the ceiling had a hole, and there were several flies. I asked for another room and they said they were fully booked.

Hotel Employee on the roof was very nice. Front desk was very helpful.

Poor shower design allowed floor to get wet. Location in somewhat sketchy area. Terrace bar not as cool as depicted. One night played loud videos of Spanish music awards. Killed the whole vibe of rooftop.
