Cons -
- Room cramped, not very clean, a/c did not work. No other room available. They gave us a fan in summer in Barcelona 😳. Oh and breakfast to compensate for the heat. Very noisy all night long. Terrible experience on our 40th anniversary trip
- Looking at the balconies from the street level, our room had the smallest door opening and the green shutters could not fold back very well to have a look at the street.
- well, there’s a lot to like about the location, it’s also just swarmed with tourists, which makes it feel both crazy and a bit unsafe. Also, I suspect because of the location, it was more expensive than what I would expect to get for the price. Still, for a very short stay in Barcelona it might be a good fit.

Everything. Staff location
The Staff was amazing and so helpful! and the Hotel was beautiful, Clean and truly a 5-star!
it’s a beautiful old building right on the Rambla, with updated rooms, including those overlooking the street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a safe.

Excellent central location, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and good service
Busy area if you need silence for sleeping but wasn’t a problem for us
Good Location and the hotel were so lovely to gift us with a bottle of Cava for our engagement.
Very noisy in the as construction is taking place. Some loud crowds at 6am by the hotel also however if in another part of the hotel we may not of noticed this as much.
Lovely hotel with lots of character. Small but well-appointed rooms, very clean and well run and organized. Nice staff.
Breakfast buffet was pretty good but not as good as I hoped.
I had an excellent stay at Oriente Atiram Hotel right on La Rambla — the location was unbeatable with metro stations only ~150 m away, making getting around Barcelona incredibly easy. The surrounding area is full of great coffee shops, traditional restaurants, and boutiques, and overall the hotel offered fantastic value for money with top-notch service and comfort — I highly recommend it!
A minor downside was some street noise due to infrastructure and construction works in the area.
The hotel has a beautiful old charm, and the room was excellent.”
The street paving repairs nearby were a bit inconvenient.
We really liked the hotel. We were staying for business purposes, and we were given a better room than the one we had booked, which was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was excellent — from the preserved authenticity to the staff and cleanliness. The service was outstanding in every aspect. Breakfast offered a wide selection; everything was fresh and delicious. The rooms are cleaned very well, the corridors are well ventilated, and everything is spotless with no unpleasant odors. The location is perfect — you step outside and you’re immediately on La Rambla.
La Rambla street is currently under renovation, and our windows faced it, so there was some noise on weekdays. However, this is not the hotel’s fault.
Absolutely gorgeous building Fantastic location Staff all polite and helpful
Liked everything!
Location
Air conditioning. You can not select nor adjust temperature for comfortable setting. The room thermostat does not work.
Location was good Croissants were deliciousCoffee at Breakfast was excellent Water station to fill up your water was excellent
We were on the 4th floor it was so hot ac didn’t work and we left the doors open all night to the balcony. Room never got comfortable. Could only use the kettle if phone was unplugged. Had to ask multiple times for a kettle to the roomBacon at breakfast sub par.
The hotel was so beautiful inside and the rooms were immaculate! The breakfast buffet was great, and the staff friendly. The housekeeping staff was especially good! The location of this hotel is amazing, too. Right on La Rambla so you can walk to so many places. It’s a 3 minute walk to the green metro line and less than 10 to the yellow line (takes you to the beaches). The metro was super clean and easy to use- highly recommend.
There was a ton of construction going on literally in front of the hotel— it’s not their fault and the staff was really kind about, but good to know!
Great location! Plenty of places to eat and shop all right outside the door and walkable around town. Rooms were very nice and spacious.
Didn't have breakfast
No bar service in lobby which was a real pity as it was an exceptional lobby. Brought my drink from my room!!!
Everything about our stay was great. The hotel was very clean, the room was comfortable, and the location was convenient for getting around. The staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. We felt very comfortable and would happily return again.
Pros•Perfect central location for sightseeing and walking around the city•Soundproof windows – despite being on La Rambla, street noise was not an issue•Small street-facing balcony, perfect for relaxed evenings with a glass of wine•Friendly and helpful staff - just perfect!•Clean, comfortable rooms•Nice historic character of the building•La Boqueria Market – 3minutes walk•Plaça Reial – 3 minutes walk•Gothic Quarter – 5 minutes walk•Barcelona Cathedral – about 10 minutes walk•Port Vell & Columbus Monument – 10 minutes walk•Excellent access to metro and public transport
Cons•Electric kettle does not switch off automatically – you need to be careful•No radiator or heated towel rail, so drying clothes during rainy days is inconvenient•Breakfast not recommended – overpriced, limited selection and average food quality-Corridors look outdated and unattractive, in need of renovation or at least repainting (Photos of smiling people flying look ridiculous and don’t fit the character of the hotel)•Wi-Fi was rather weak, although it worked consistently
Location
All the construction going on the Ramblas. Hotel could not help this but made noisy at times and detours
