This 4-star voco Edinburgh Royal Terrace is on a quiet tree-lined street, 1640 feet from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and Princes Street. The rooms with attached bathroom have a flat-screen satellite TV, free WiFi, and music channels. Some rooms look out towards the Firth of Forth, and many overlook the hotel's own gardens. The modern Terrace Brasserie has access to the gardens and offers casual, bistro-style cuisine made with the freshest local produce. A snack menu is served in the bar/lounge and 24-hour room service is available.

Pros +
- The staff was sweet until check out. We were billed three times for Times for the exact same change. Check out was a nightmare
- Cleanliness, helpful staff, great breakfast, nice ambience and decor.
- Nice, clean room with multiple outlets for charging. The breakfast (which was included) was expansive and tasty. The staff was eager to help.
Cons -
- The showers was was scalding hot and would not cool down
- Parking. The street parking outside the hotel is expensive �4 per hour, and the nearest big car park is a 15 minute walk. Drinks prices at the bar are high.
- Our shower faucet was finicky -- I was not able to get hot water out of it one of the 2 nights, try as I may.
