Consisted of of 2 restored listed Georgian buildings, The Ferryman Townhouse overlooks the River Liffey. Good-value rooms above a lively pub and just a mile from Dublin’s Center Built in the 1780's by Lord Cardiff, each room is now well-equipped with modern facilities including a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The Ferryman Townhouse has a traditional-style Dublin pub that has a wonderful atmosphere and has retained its old-world charm. Come and enjoy a pint of Guinness, or join in with the locals for a traditional Irish welcome. The Bord Gais Energy Theater, which is home to West End hits, is 984 feet from The Ferryman Townhouse's door. The 3Arena concert venue is across the river. Located beside the iconic Samuel Beckett Bridge opposite the Convention Center, the Ferryman Townhouse offers a central base to explore Dublin's attractions on foot or taxi. - Great location and fun pub downstairs.
- A refreshing change from cold concrete chain hotels. This cosy period townhouse had everything we were looking for, location, period decor, wonderful staff and great food! The timely Irish breakfasts were excellent and served in a beautiful recently decor
Cons -
- no lifts
- The shower was so small, you couldn't bend over to pick up the soap, which you had to have on the ground as there were no ledges. The cost is really high for what you get.
- Pub still smelled of cigarettes, though the room was fine.
