The luxurious 5-star Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam, located in a monumental building just 1640 feet from Central Station, offers an extensive Spa & Wellness center and spacious rooms with high ceilings. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire hotel. The 205 Art Nouveau-style rooms, of which 22 suites, feature high ceilings and large windows, providing lots of daylight. Extras include a Nespresso coffee machine, tea facilities and a flat-screen TV. Each room has climate control, a hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. Enjoy your lunch or dinner at the hotel's Bar Lounge overlooking the canals. Guests have free access to the Spa & Wellness center featuring 2 saunas (70 and 90 degrees), an infrared sauna, steam cabin, whirlpool, an indoor pool and fitness. There are 8 meeting rooms. - It's an older hotel but maintains its charm.
- Definitely NOT a 5-star. I reserved (and paid) for a room the day prior to arrival because I landed in AMS in the morning from the U.S. - I got to the hotel at 11:30am and the room wasn't ready until 45 mins later. Phone & TV in room didn't work. No AC.
- Nothing that I didn't like. I just had a higher expectation and so would many travelers.
