    Pros +

    • Breakfast options were excellent, proximity to both the train station and the metro station was why we selected this hotel, and it worked out perfectly for our travels.
    • Friendliness of staff, convenient location to the train station, offer of croissants since we left before breakfast was served
    • The location is 7 minutes from Termini and it is on the same metro line with some of Rome's most important landmarks. The staff is very friendly, amazing and the rooms were always clean and during the warm days, they turned the AC on for you.

    Cons -

    • Bed was not a king, and maybe I knew that when I booked the room but I honestly can't remember, so I definitely felt the smaller size bed after traveling for a week in Italy and then this was our last night in a hotel. So as long as you know what size bed you are getting, everything else about the place is comfortable.
    • Noise can be heard from other rooms, the bed was making strange noises when moving in it. Lack of amenities such as iron and ironing table, had to wear the clothes as I pulled them out from the luggage, not fun.Breakfast can be improved, it contains way too many sweets and paistries, most of Rome's visitors are not Italians, so we do not enjoy croissants filled with chocolate cream at 7:30 am.
    • Location was outside the centre however commutable by tube and the cost was reasonable to get to main attractions.

Friendly helpful staff. Access to very good restaurants near the hotel, with the local knowledge if the hotel reasonably priced with good choices on the menus.

Very clean & staff was very pleasant & helpful.

The rooms were far to small. At least there should be a place for 2 pieces of luggage.

Location was great for our purposes. Staff was excellent; friendly and helpful. .

We could really get relaxed in that hotel. There were:1. Polite staff2. Tasty breakfasts (with really good coffee)3. Very clean everywhere. Room is get cleaned every day4. Metro station is 5 mins by feet.

Perhaps the price is a little bit higher than expected

Really friendly and helpful staff. Very near Ponte Lungo metro station.

Quite a way out of the city although only 10-15 minutes on the metro. No lift which is an issue with heavy cases. Small rooms and ours was quite dark

stuff was very friendlybreakfast was good hotel is very close to metro station and to a bus stop that is very convenient for the city centertuscolana area is quiet and has a lot of restaurants and pizzerias

rome is expensive in general so the room was a bit expensive also

The hotel has helpful staff and communication was easy. Generally, the hotel provides everything you can expect from a standard hotel (except an iron). Comfortable bed.

For what it is, it is overpriced. Breakfast was OK, but nothing spectacular. Slightly outdated interior. The neighborhood may not be the most exciting, but walking distance to tourist areas and restaurants.

Staff were exceptional, very friendly and available. Breakfast was very good. Close to train station and metro.

It doesn’t have a lift, so you’ll have to carry your luggage upstairs.

    8WojciechPosted on: 9-1-2024

Personnel were very helpful and kind.

The shower was broken and the safe couldn’t open. Hotel is quite far from city centre however it is close to metro station. There is not much to do in the neighbourhood.

First of all, the staff is wonderful. Everyone was super nice and patient with me whenever I asked questions. They were helpful with giving me directions to get around Rome via taxi or train. The breakfast seemed to be the typical Italian style breakfast which I enjoyed. I know some people didn't care for the location as they thought it wasn't in the heart of Rome. However with the train station a short walk away, it takes you right to where you want to go and you can experience the people of Rome better when you are away from the city.I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel to friends and family in the future!

I would prefer an electronic key card only because it can easily fit in my wallet vs the key setup they use currently. But that isn't a dealbreaker or anything for me personally.

    Location and staff being nice

Smelly, mosquitoes and i especially asked for atleast double day for my second day stay also but was given single bed . 177£ for single bed in a smelly room with mosquito a total waste

Location is good, bus stop is on other side of the street, metro is 5 minutes walk. Room is clean. Breakfast is very good.Personnel is very friendly and helpful. There are a few good restaurants in the area.

It was clean and people were kind.

    Lack of view, thin walls.

I have never met more helpful people than those working at Hotel Tuscolana. Their attitude was exceptional. Everyone spoke enough English to manage. The breakfast was exceptional and the hours for their breakfast were flexible. They were just the most caring staff I have ever met. They had a refrigerator in the room. I was greeted with a razor, shaving cream soap and toothpaste the first day. It was just so helpful and thoughtful.

    There was nothing at all.

    9SunitPosted on: 4-21-2024

The breakfast was simple but good. Close to good transport links.

Lack of good eating places near the hotel!

    9NatalliaPosted on: 4-3-2024

Very good location: 3 minutes to the station, 5 minutes to the metro, bus stops 2-5 minutes depending on the desired route. Very good breakfest, I really like their chocolate croissants =) Good staff, we have early flight and we received the breakfest 2 hours befor regular time when we checked out. The room was also good, we even had the tea-kettle that was a nice surprise

Zone of wi-fi didn't cover our room, but that wasn't problem for us because we have our own internetThe drain in the shower didn't work very well and there were small puddles of water on the floor. Wasn''t really big problem but could be resolved
