    Pros +

    • Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated in the middle of all of Rome's tourist destinations, many within approximately 1 mile range.
    • Hotel was convenient to the Vatican and to local shopping and restaurants.
    • The bed was really comfortable. I did not have to think about buying breakfast because there was a buffet every morning!

    Cons -

    • The hotel was undergoing renovations on the air conditioning system and our room was not very cool particularly at night.
    • Everything was great until the hotel's air conditioning system went into the "winter season". So it got pretty warm during the day. The AC is centrally controlled so if you like to sleep in cooler temps you're out of luck.
    • The bathtub was too high.

The staff refused to refill the daily water bottles that are offered upon cleaning the rooms and informed us that they will be charged.Upon refusal, they brought open tap water bottle.

Located where we wanted our hotel to be, near the Vatican and shops and cafes and in a not overly busy/not too touristy part of the city, we were happy to have chosen NH Collection Roma Giustiniano. This year, however, Rome was full of visitors, likely because 2025 is a Jubilee year for Catholics, so many pilgrims/visitors came to Rome. A beautiful view from our room of the dome of St. Peter Basilica was a dreamy treat for us! We kept our windows open to the lovely sight especially at night. Check-in was well done. Sorry to have forgotten the name of the nice lady with reddish blond hair who checked us in. Our suites with extra bed were perfect for us, especially since we had so much luggage at this point and we were nearing the tail end of our 27-day vacation, with a lot of shopping behind and ahead of us, that we had to sort out. Our toiletries were not necessarily replenished and we had to ask for what we needed/wanted. I guess that's how hotels do it these days. The ambience of the hotel is casual elegance and the dining room was spacious, with very good and delicious breakfast offerings. The wait staff was responsive and personable and quick to attend to our needs and wants. I loved the nightly chewy candy treat Housekeeping gave us. Altogether, a great place to stay and will be happy to recommend and come back to stay at this property again. We commend the elderly man who helped us with our heavy luggage. Forgot his name. Huge thanks!

Only thing about walking into this lovely hotel, though, is that the scent they chose for the lobby area was just too strong, nothing subtle about it and if you're prone to allergies, as we are, not too good for us. I wished the fragrance could have been more delicate. Also, the bathroom could have been better appointed. Under the sink could have been a shelf to put our vanity kits and such, instead of a useless bar across it which we couldn't put anything on.

Everything about the hotel was good, cleanliness, location and especially the staff. Michelle from the reception was very helpful and excellent service.

    Food wasn't bad

rooms felt old, corridors felt like 3 star, beds were not comfortable, mattresses were thin, overall it felt like a good 3 star hotel, not 4, and very very over priced, we paid 3800 for 4 rooms 2 nights each.

Loved the balcony. Disliked the overly perfumed lobby and public spaces

    Location near Vatican

The breakfast few varieties and no live stations such as omelet or eggs station, room is so nice but old furniture and towels smell need to be better to feel that was clean.

Very large room (junior suite). Very good location, quiet neighborhood but still close to all main attraction points. It was very clean and the room was very well equipped.

The bathroom needs refurbishment. Breakfast is good but not diversified.

Modern hotel with very good facilities and a good location near the Vatican.

Housekeeping seemed to be understaffed. I have traveled internationally a considerable amount and have always found that well run hotels have a certain number of rooms available for travelers with overnight flights to be ready for check in early. This hotel was not very accommodating and we stayed there for three days from April 15-18 and then returned for a one night stay on April 21. When we arrived for our second stay our room was not available at the scheduled check in time of 3:00 pm. The night shift was very helpful not so much for the day shift.

Stayed 3 nights here in March 2025. Chose this hotel for work and booked through booking.com which was cheaper for the same room even with a NH platinum status and additional 10% NH discount…which is odd because I usually get the best price from the NH site directly.I like NH because they have nice locations in many cities but they often have the same issues, which I’ll detail below. So first of all, the room was quite large and had a balcony with an on view, which is great. Hotel is clean and and some good products and a nice little welcome gift.Amenities 4/5 only had one pair of sandals for 2 and had to request bathrobes, but other wise wellStocked.Service 5/5 good service, nice staffLocation 5/5 close to where I needed to be for work and very close to Vatican and a nice neighborhood with a bit of everything nearby.

Comfort 3/5Noise 3/5 doesn’t seem to be noise proofing, you can hear neighbours’ alarms, moving chairs and using the bathroom, as well as staff cleaning. You can also hear the morning and evening garbage pick up. But overall the hotel was fairly quietBlinds 4/5 blinds are blackout but let in light on the sides.Bed 2/5 honestly this is my biggest issue with NH hotels is the poor quality of their beds. With brands like Marriott/Accor I always have an amazing sleep, and maybe it’s because I often sleep on my side and the NH beds are not made for that. Beds are firm and springy, and I actually had a sore neck this time. Asked for a couple large pillows for my last night and that was much better, but not a well rested night.Decor 3/5 - a bit dated, especially the light switches, and having an office chair without wheels and without sound dampeners is dramatic for neighbours whenever someone moves the chair.Breakfast 3.5/5 - was decent but not enough fruit choices and was frequently left unstocked. (just oranges, grapefruits, Melon and kiwi). One plus was the Prosecco station. For the price (360€ a night with 2 breakfasts valued at 23€/each) if it wasn’t for the location, I would have booked elsewhere.overall 3.5/5 (rounded up to 4), as the location is great, the amenities decent, room size excellent, but NH needs to step up its bed comfort game and noise proofing, and figure out why booking on the NH website with a membership and a 10% additional discount code was still more expensive than through 3rd party booking.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. The breakfast is phenomenal, and the attention to detail is remarkable. I stayed for five days upon arriving in Italy and then chose to return before departing for Argentina, as I wished to enjoy my final days in Rome in comfort. This hotel is truly exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Good location, with nice bars and restaurants around, 10 minutes walk to San Pietro Basilica, not far from downtown either. Modern hotel, comfortable room, hearty breakfast.
