Pros +
- I had a very comfortable stay at Palazzo Talia. The property is beautiful, elegant, and very well maintained. The room was cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is really relaxing. The location is also excellent for exploring Rome.I definitely recommend this hotel because the comfort and design are top level. However, there are a few small things that could be improved, such as I requested a breakfast in the room but never came !!! Nothing that ruined the stay, but worth mentioning.Overall, it’s a lovely hotel and I would stay here again.
- The historic space until getting to the room
- Breakfast was amazing and cooked to order very quickly--the wait staff in the restaurant was excellent and attentive. We looked forward to our morning meal every single day! The variety of food on offer at the buffet was excellent and fresh too. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous and check in was simple and painless. Beautiful bar area/lounge and also very friendly and service-oriented staff.
Cons -
- The location is not easy to be reached by taxi until the front of the palazzo so often we have to walk a bit, and it’s not pleasant when it’s raining and on a steep road. The room is a bare minimum nice room, quite a “cold” room in spirit, very small room, and very disappointing for the price we paid. The amenities are “poor”. I also requested a late check out for two additional hours only, and it was refused. We have stayed in similarly ranked hotels in Italy, in Rome included, but were thrilled by every detail of the service, room, amenities... Not in this property unfortunately.
- I pre-booked the spa as a surprise for my partner on our honeymoon, and I pre-paid for this to avoid any hassle on the day. Unfortunately on check in AND on check out they tried to charge us again for the spa fee. This was a hefty fee added on to the final bill (again! after it being outstanding on check in and me flagging then that it was already paid) The bill with the spa fee on was then handed to my partner! This was frustrating as I told the staff on check in that I had already paid for it ahead of us arriving a few days before. Unfortunately this did leave us feeling a little frustrated at the end of our trip. I think if this hadn't happened twice it would have been a lot better experience overall. The staff were great mostly and very helpful however another situation that happened was that they said they'd call a couple of restaurants for us to make a reservation. We were out all day until returning back at about 7pm (requested reservation for 9ish), however they did not ring us to tell us that they'd been unable to successfully secure us a table and we ended up with no reservation and no meal on our last night. I totally understand reservations are hard to come by on the day in a major city and I did appreciate the hotel offering to handle this for us upon us asking for recommendations. HOWEVER, we would have appreciated the heads up that they were unable to fulfil this and they had my contact details, I would have expected they called me so I could sort something else out myself as we ended up with no dinner on the last night of our honeymoon.
- Unpredictability of room lighting system, and unavailability of English speaking TV

The design and attention to detail was awesome, excellent service, the spa was small but perfectly formed (and we had it to ourselves everyday) and breakfast was delicious - would return!
Understated luxury. The staff and facilities were wonderful and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was great. Location great. The room was beautiful.

Beautiful, clean, location, bar. Staff very helpful. English spoken.
This hotel was incredible. Everything was beautiful like living in a museum. The decoration, the terrasse and the room was amazing. We have been more that welcoming by the team. One of the best experience we had.
Location and helpfulness of staff
Unpredictability of room lighting system, and unavailability of English speaking TV
Literally everything! Stunning design, beautiful yet comfortable rooms, SO quiet and peaceful even though it’s in the center of everything in Rome, delicious breakfast, perfect bar/cocktails, really this hotel is beyond special.
Nothing, everything was amazing.
Rooms (suite) were super clean and spacious.
Entrance staff and entrance area didn’t do the property justice. You don’t come close to feeling as you have paid that amount per night. Common area toilets were worn out. After tipping staff along the way, you get presented with a 5% per room price per night suggested tip. Crazy.
The location is nice, very central and convenient. I also really enjoyed the restaurant, especially the breakfast.
Unfortunately, the staff was disappointing, particularly one blonde lady at respiration was unprofessional, and lacked proper hospitality attitude. Her behavior disturbed my stay, and it felt like she needs more training in customer service.لم يعجبني التعامل كثيرا ولا انصح به للعرب
Great location and attentive staff
Lacked a few basics - like an iron and working hairdryer. I found some of the reception staff a little snobby
Elegant decor, helpful staff / amazing spa treatments and great location
Room service slightly limited selection - still delicious though
Location, location , location! It’s exactly what I was looking for. A luxury, small, quiet hotel and at the same time very central.
The hotel was incredible - the staff were super helpful and gave us lots of great tips. The room was so comfortable and had lots of excellent touches like free snacks and soft drinks. The breakfast was also exceptional and the spa small but perfect to retreat from the city
Location, historic buildings, great bedroom, large closet. Great staff, perfect spa
Spa was incredibly slippery, i suggest putting drying mats infront of the pool and sauna/hamamm
It was faultless. Incredible building and history - more like sleeping in a museum. The suite we had was amazing with high ceilings and good products in the bathroom. Staff were effortlessly professional. The restaurant and bar - super stylish and great menus. We used the spa which was a quiet sanctuary and very clean. Location - perfect.
A renaissance palazzo stylishly renovated. First class. Spacious. Wonderful large courtyard with lush garden.
Beautiful spaces. Ala carte breakfast with great options and fresh pressed juices. The bar Paloma cocktail (and bar in general). The green palazzo space. The Scenic elevator with seating. Roman style swimming pool, hot sauna, spa.
Our lights were malfunctioning the first night in our room likely due to an power outage from the heat. They were turning on every 30 minutes in the night. The hotel moved us to a larger room the next day which was a sweet gesture. Unfortunately one night of rest in this hotel was lost (needed for Rome exploring)... Luckily rest of our stay went smoothly.
