Hotel Silla

Very clean and tidy room and bathroom. Simple and good value for money. Great location close to the metro, shops and supermarkets.

Breakfast wasn’t great

The only plus is that they let me make a check in earlier.

- old room with the renovation back to 1990s- it was impossible to open shutters- very old renovation, it was disgusting to stay there - no remote from the air conditioner, and when I asked about it the host at the reception said that the season of using it was over (what?)

Location! We knew it was walking distance to everything Vatican, but had no idea how many restaurants, cafes and shops would be just outside. It didn't matter which way we turned, there was something good to eat or something to see.

I asked my family and none of us could come up with a bad thing to say. There was a little confusion with the car they arranged for us on the way in, but that had to do with our airline losing luggage and messing up our schedule. This in no way reflects on the hotel, but I mention it so that if you're planning on utilize their help with transportation, you might want to build in some extra time for unplanned problems.

Location and cleanliness

Small shower cubicle and very low water pressure in shower.

Clean and warm place to stay. Old-fashioned interior but you got everything you need. Very close to metro station and Vatican City. Nice and patient receptionist.

Shower space is too small. The wall is very thin that you can hear noise from next door and corridor.

Staff is very sweet, location is amazing, room is large, comfy and clean. They let us in earlier than official checkin.

We could hear neighbours sometimes :)

It' very close to the metro and the room was clean.

Bed was not good. Air conditioning took a long time to get cold.It was loud. You could hear your neighbors walking around and talking in the hall.

I loved the decor of the guest room. The owners and interior designers put a lot of love in designing the rooms with personal character details.The day time front desk services till 3 p.m were extremely accommodating. The replacement after him helped me out by coming in my room to try to fix an issue once.On the whole all staff were extremely polished and professional. All I suggest to receive five stars.

An English movie channel.

Reception staff were very helpful as the airline lost my luggage. staff were kind enough to keep chasing airline by phone until luggage was retrieved. Greatly appreciated.

Close to Metro. Lots of restaurants, shops and cafes.

Comfortable and clean. Very near Ottaviano Metro and about 8mins walk to St Peter’s Square.

The staff were friendly and accommodating and very helpful. It was in a good location close to the Vatican and very close to the Metro station, which made it easy to get around Rome.

Nothing comes to mind that I did not like

Beds were comfortable and the place was kept spotlessly clean. Extremely great value for money and nice location in Rome. Everything mostly within walking distance and not far from public transport links.

Air conditioning can take a while to kick in and the room we had was quite small so room was like a hot box, but after a while it was fine after leaving the air conditioning running.

The location was quiet and very conveniently near the metro line to visit Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Termini Station. Also the staff were friendly and helpful, the room always nice and clean, and the bed and pillows very comfortable. The breakfast was simple but tasty! Very convenient to have on a day when we needed to leave town early.

The a/c was great to have but it never felt cold (by American standards) in the room. The water in the shower got unexpectedly hot and cold on the final day of our stay but was otherwise fine.

Near the St. Peter's Basilica. Price was good.

No in house dining, but this helps keep the costs down for tourist, anyway, there are lots and lots of restaurants and cafes nearby

The bath room is so tiny, I keep on hitting arms and shoulders against the wall inside the shower room
