The location is amazing. You simply can't beat it with value for money. Friendly staff, quiet rooms and comfy beds. Amazing.

This is a small hotel in a convenient location. As a solo female traveller I felt safe to walk around the area at night. It’s close to the metro and 30-45 minute walk to the central area. The room was clean and comfortable. There’s a delicious breakfast available to deliver to the room for €5. The staff here are wonderful. Anca in particular was so friendly and gave me some great recommendations I would stay here again

The walls are a little thin so there is some noise around 8am for breakfast. There’s no overnight receptionist

Great location. Next to Vatican City and also great shops around to eat and buy souvenirs.

Room was a little hotter then preferred even with the ac running but if you open the windows it helped when we stayed

The staff is super nice, we could have our room earlier and it is was very good with a baby. It is very close to the Vatican where we spent most of our time.

The hotel is very near the Vatican and is in an area that does not feel very touristy. The interiors are very nice - sleek and modern. The best part was their staff, Anca, who gave us the best recommendations on where to eat. We tried all her suggestions and everything was superb! She helped make our trip very memorable.

Anca, was so nice and helpful! The location is very convenient! Very nice neighborhood. The room is very clean and I like the size of our room. It was a perfect stay for 5 days. Will return to this place!

The staff were absolutely incredible - especially Daniele. Room was fantastic. Hotel is in a great location - close to the Vatican City and transport links.

We had a wonderful stay at the Eccelso. Staff was very friendly and helpful in answering questions on places to eat and shop. Very attentive to needs. We had a shower door off track and it was fixed when we got back in room.

The hotel location was very good, specifically if you have plan to visit Vatican.We like this small and cozy hotel…it’s well renovated and maintained.The owner also very kind and make sure if we have a nice staying in their hotel

This property only have one small sign and closed big door…in the front of their property At the first, we had a difficulty to found it

The location is in the city center and walking distance to Vatican. There are many retail shops and restaurants and cafe nearby.

Kinda pricey for a 3 star hotel

The only good thing about the hotel that I can say is the location.

First of all the bed is uncomfortably soft. It might feel comfy at first but as you spent more time on it starts to sink in which as a result ends up hurting your back and neck in the next morning. Secondly just 2 pillows were provided instead of 2 per person (which is expected from a 3 start hotel). I stayed in October where the weather was warm and pleasant outside. In contrast, inside the room was quite cold, neither heater or heat mode of A/C worked. The floow was all tile which was cold for the feet. Lastly, cleanliness of the room was not satisfactory at all. The floor was all dirty, everywhere was dust, stained sofa/couch, sanitation of the toilet was questionable. Overall I did not enjoy my time there. Not recommended.

The communication prior to travelling.The level of help and communication offered to ensure we were having as enjoyable a stay as possible.The location of the hotel, less than a five minute walk to St Peter's, the amount of restaurants available and so close to the actual hotel.Time wise did not have time to explore the nearby streets that had plenty of different shops available.The staff of Eccelso make a person's stay a delight in so many ways.Sometimes it is the little things that mean so much

I find this difficult to answer, the last time I was in Rome was in 1973. So hard to compareAs regards the hotel, there was nothing to dislike.Personally I could not fault the staff, the location or the hotel, Even the taxi service from the airport and the return all supplied by the Eccelso.I was exhausted before going so my grumpy level would be on the rise.We achieved what at our age was achievable, grumpy level never rose.We would have loved more time to explore the Metro.If we stay healthy we will be returning to Rome and hopefully staying at the Eccelso again.
