The Strand Hotel

Rooms are way too small, including bathroom with toilet and bidet that barely fits with a sink in your face if you use the toilet.

The hotel was conveniently located. The area was nice, there was a gym next door and it was beside good restaurants, cafes and close to the metro.

The room was very small, recently renovated but it was in a separate building away from the main hotel and there was no WIFI inside the room. The Air Conditioner did not work. The bathroom was directly beside the bed.

i have to reward the personal, everybody was soo kind. on the other hand the room wasn’t clean, there was dusty smell and there were little biga walking along the wall. It was awful and disgusting :((

The location and neighborhood. Close to metro, good restaurants, groceries cafes and other shops as needed.

The bed and pillows were very hard. The bathroom tub had major issues: shower head broken, needed caulking, moldy, leaking all over floor. Sink drain was not working. could hear the water pipes from other rooms draining through ceiling and also toilets flushing and a strong sewer odor.The elevator often would not take us to the bottom floor and we had to walk 2 flights down with heavy luggage.The pool and spa was not available even though advertised as available.

The location is near a train

The accommodations were not up to par. There was a strong, unpleasant odor, and the presence of mosquitoes made it difficult to sleep comfortably. Additionally, the cleaning staff started making noise by banging doors at 9 am. Carrying luggage down and up the stairs was also quite challenging. Despite my request for a non-smoking room, I was given a smoker's room

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. The room was particularly special, featuring a luxurious whirlpool that added an extra touch of relaxation to my stay. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, being very close to the metro, which made getting around the city a breeze.The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my overall experience. Every aspect of the hotel was perfect, from the cleanliness to the amenities provided. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

THE WORST HOTEL WE EVER BEEN TO! SO DIRTY! The pool is dirty and didn’t work and they informed us on arrival only! Room is super dirty and not clean at all !Smell like something rotten and AC didn’t help at all!

The guy from the Philippines and the guy from peru were wonderful at their job and looked after my stuff.

I didn't like the guy from sri-lanka he was very unhelpful didn't like his job, it took me 2 hours just to resolve issues he kept making excuses then left a message with the boss saying this is not my work. Maintenance needs to improve as some stuff was broken.

There was an available parking lot, but it was under payment and not with many spots. I was not aware from the booking webasite.

I didn't receive a receipt, I asked there, left my email and asked through the website of booking.It was really very disappointing.

The location and area around is good, metro really close, shopping 24/7 possible, great restaurants near by

communication via mail unacceptable, equipment old not working (shower & bed damaged), extrem small, dirty, smelly loud rooms (possible to hear all the neighbor room talking), price over 250 Euro/ night for 9m² room, hotel bill tax fraud by booking via booking.com!

Loved the granite paved entrance with sandstone walls and bougainvillea plants.

Toilet was not great, continously leaking, and the shower head was held up by string. Nice balcony but at least weed the flower beds.

we booked this place as it advertised a pool which by the way is filled with dirty green swamp water so can not be used the images on the website are nothing like what you end up in the room stank of urine it was noticeably dirty including fridge bed and bathroom area even the balcony was dirty it’s like the place has been abandoned upon our check in we went up to the room and straight away there was a dirty mop bucket by our door it was really dark in the corridors like bulbs had gone we then went to reception to ask about the location of pool to which the reception just looked at us clueless after explaining it over and over again about us wanting to use a pool he finally realised what we were saying but then said it won’t be ready for a week!if we had of known this we would have booked somewhere else this hotel is honestly the worst place I’ve ever stayed I have a lot more images also of everything mentioned too I would like a refund as this ruined our whole holiday and is not as advertised on the site

This was a COMPLETE misrepresentation of what was advertised! Furniture was broken, as was the shower head. The furniture and bathroom fixtures had cigarette burns. No breakfast. The pool was disgustingly dirty. The place was a dump.

The floors were a bit dusty and the room smelled a bit bad, nothing too serious, just needed to ventilate out the air.

At the time of our trip all hotels in the center of the city were fully booked, this hotel was one of the best options to stay away of the city. It is very convenient as the hotel is located between two metro stations, and even the metro was not working after 21:00 hrs, there were substitute busses that can take you there with no issues. The area is secure and very vivid with some 24 hrs restaurants and bars nearby. The room was equipped with Air Conditioner (Mini Split) so even it was very hot outside the nights were pleasant. Room is equipped as well with a small fridge and TV.

The size of the room is ok, but the jacuzzi on it looks quite old, it can sound attractive, but as it is old it does not inspire to use it much. I would say, the cleaning of the room can be improved. Also I didn't like the size of the shower.

As a group of 7 friends we had two rooms (4/3 beds). The rooms were really small, it was not quite possible to roam around between beds. Worst of all was the bad moldy smell in the rooms, this even though the window has been constantly left open. Bathroom was covered in mold visibly and toiletseat was broken. The shower pressure was really low. One room didnt have a doorknob and it was dripping water from room above. The whole room and especially bathroom have not been clean at all and housekeeping was also not happening. Some beds where quite short (plank beds put into the room). We didnt ask to try the pool. It seemed to be closed and had a really bad green colour.

very polite and helpful reception who pointed us all landmarks in Rome, helped us through transportation and very clean hotel. surely revisiting and recommend ?
