Marcella Royal Hotel - Rooftop Garden

The Front Desk staff and Bellman were great! Our room very spacious!! Location was perfect! Will definitely come back!!

Kind and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Loved that it was slightly removed from high volume tourist section.

The hotel was located in an accessible area making it easy to get to many locations.

Even though we complained many times our room telephone, didn't work. Family members residing in the same hotel could contact us. In addition, our television lacked connection to other channels, that others guest did NOT have to contend with.

The staff all went above and beyond. Everyone of them was extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious enough with a nice bed and bathroom. There was a mini fridge with some waters for you, a mini safe, and a cool mirror... table? thing that I'm not sure what it was for but I liked it haha.

Not the hotels fault at all, but the location is a bit far from the fun neighborhoods and sites. But, the bus does stop pretty close, and with google, it's very easy to figure out how to get around cheaply.

Location and the rooftop was incredible.

The staff were excellent. The breakfast was good. The beds could use an update on the mattresses.

Very helpful staff, lovely atmosphere, rooftop restaurant was very good plus so many good restaurants close by. Great place to stay.

We stayed here in 2012 in loved it and we've been back to Italy a couple times but didn't come to Rome. So we made sure this time when we came to Roma's stayed at the Marcella. We love the staff, the hotel, the location.

Great location. Part of my stay was solo and I felt very safe in that area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Joanna, who assisted with tickets for the hop on hop off bus, the Vatican and overall Rome knowledge. She was very friendly and made me confident to explore Rome on my own.

I really love the location of the hotel so many places to eat where you didn’t have to walk far and it wasn’t in a busy area .

That you have to wait until 2 pm to check in. All the other hotels in different cities had allow us to do early check in . We had to sit in the lobby for 40 minutes after we had to ride a train into Rome

Beautiful common areas and nicely appointed room and lovely bathroom, obviously designed by a man as no surfaces to place anything or hooks to hang anything, but still very nice hence 10/10 Terriffic breakfast and nice food.

Unfortunately the menu was very fish inspired and as I'm allergic to fish we did not eat at the hotel. Also the restaurants nearby we also fish inspired. In the immediate vicinity there was a lack of small cafes but plenty of restaurants.

The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was varied and fresh. Roof top terrace was wonderful. Staff were fantastic. 10/10 all round

Don’t stay in 332 window looks out into courtyard. Awful. Room small but clean good bathroom and shower . Make sure you stay at the front of the hotel if possible.

Rooms so hot. So we opened window and it was so noisy. And staff on rooftop bar not very friendly. I was told to sit down when I tried to order drinks

Comfortable rooms. I tried the double and the single rooms. The single room is perfect if you’re travelling alone: the bed is big enough, the room looks small on the picture but is actually big for one person. Highly advise to try it.

The breakfast that is included is not worth it. I advise you to take the option without it and go get breakfast in one of the coffees in the neighborhood.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean, the breakfast was very fulfilling and the location was perfect.

We made reservations at the Hotel Restaurant, and when we came, no one came to us. No menus, no order was taken... no one even acknowledged us. We waited for 15 minutes and had to leave. The restaurant said they were very busy, but we were practically alone. Very disappointing.
