it was exactly as advertised

they were aware there was a large group of us arriving before check-in time and none of the rooms was ready that early tho I got into mine about an hour sooner than expected.

There is a hard rock restaurant next door Not noisy but an eyesore

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and I have to say it was more than we could ever expect. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast was great, the rooms were super clean and the accommodations were palatial.

The location and the global chain. The standard is high but still flawed in many ways.

Not sure it’s new or what but some one of the staff spilled the tea on the table when she served and left without saying anything. The pillow, maybe made by goose or something but when I first lean on them in bed, they smelled like shit. Not sure it’s normal for this kind of pillow.

Location was very convenient for sightseeing. Check in staff, door men, concierge & bar staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were cleaned perfectly.

Breakfast was very disappointing I’m afraid. Service was poor most morning of our six day stay. We had to ask for coffees & milk rather than being offered it on most mornings. The buffet hot food wasn’t particularly hot or tasty. The breakfast menu looked promising; however what we ordered wasn’t great. We expected more from The Intercontinental Rome. We’ve had breakfast at others around the world which were fantastic so it was a shame as the hotel was great at everything else.

The hotel staff were so professional and always happy to help. The room was lovely and super clean. We were upgraded to a junior suite as we were on our honeymoon which was a very kind and generous gesture from the hotel.

It was just a little bit outside of the busy areas of the city but still well within a walking distance.

Great location surrounded by restaurants & amenities. Very close to the main park area. In a safe neighborhood to explore. The rooftop bar was great for cocktails & to retreat to after a day of sightseeing. Staff service was fantastic from the doormen, house keeping & reception personnel.

Lounge area downstairs not always open & upstairs bar whilst fantastic did not serve hot drinks.
