In a sober and elegant building, Pace Elvetia is in the very heart of Rome. From the hotel you can walk down to Piazza Venezia and the Coliseum, or up towards the Quirinale Hill. Hotel Pace Elvetia opens out onto a rooftop terrace overlooking Vittorio Emanuele’s Monument and the ancient Mercati di Traiano. Breakfast is buffet style. Spacious rooms includes classic furnishings, soft carpets and tapestries, combined with modern equipments. Air conditioning and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels are standard. Many bus lines stop at the Elvetia’s door step with services to Termini Train Station, the Vatican and the lively Trastevere District, packed with bars and cafes. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Great location, which was central to all attractions in Rome. The hotel has a nice roof top deck for 360 degree views of the city.
Location, friendly staff, value.
very central (Collosium, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and other sites).

Cons -

Showers were a bit funky, but...it's Italy.
I marked the room down only because of the size. I didn't expect it to be so small. I've never been in another hotel in that country to compare it to, though.

It couldn't have been in a better location. I was also thrilled to have a balcony.

I marked the room down only because of the size. I didn't expect it to be so small. I've never been in another hotel in that country to compare it to, though.
