Pros +
- Room is very clear and comfortable
- The Major is a newly renovated hotel. So the hotel has that new feel and cleanliness. The location is just about perfect. My wife and I walked almost everywhere. Trevi fountain is 15-20 mins. The RomaTermini is 10 mins and Colleseum is 15 to 20 mins.
- Great location if you want to be near the train station. We had a quiet & clean room. The staff was great. We would stay there again.
Cons -
- Rooftop is an extra surprise with fantastic views
- It's really difficult to point out anything negative about the Major. Maybe the iron could have better? Lol. (It did spring water a little bit too much for our liking). That's about it.
- this was not a four star hotel, regardless of what the hotel staff says. design is old and dated. staff was rude. i would have never stayed in this place. it was awful.

the location is the only good thing about this hotel.

Location was great
A/C did not work, and during end of August is a no. Asked for a fan or something, staff seemed uninterested in giving me one. Shower didnt drain well and the hand held shower didn''t stay in its hooster. Over all did not care for this experienc
Location. Everything other than the location was poor. Would have given a zero star if I could. The receptionist was rude. One person for the whole hotel. If you need something (shampoo etc, because the maid did not keep any) you come down to reception.
The hotel was dirty. Period. Everything was dirty. The towels were torn. The carpets hadn't been vacuumed in years. There is one maid to clean the whole hotel. The breakfast was horrible. There were bees in the cheese and salami both days we stayed.
Large room, good breakfast, good location
wall paper peeling, there was a leak in the shower
location room size
young man at the front ( not old man) he was so much implolite even at the first time watch out that young man !
Very nice waitress for breakfast
No hot water for two nights,no apologizes from staff Staff o.k, not too friendly Not a 4 star hotel! Very dissapointed
just location
hotel is too old and breakfast wasn't really good, and reception staffs .
The staff and amazing rooftop rest
Size of the room for Rome
More variety at breakfast?
Attentive and very accommodating. Staff were brilliant and very helpful Accommodation is small but attention to detail is next level. Will start here again when we travel back in May. Sky bar was lonely also with stunning setting
Great location close to train station (easy to get bus/train from airport to there) and not too far to walk to main locations, also fairly close to the metro.Lovely hotel with fantastic views and friendly helpful staff. The room was excellent, comfy beds and well equipped with everything you could want. The rooftop bar and restaurant were great too. The view from the rooftop bar was spectacular. I had read reviews prior to going the around the train station wasn’t the safest area however, we felt very safe and were at a walkable distance but not too close.
The restaurant Massa was not what we fancied as we wanted Italian food being in Rome, not Mediterranean -fusion. However, if it is what you fancied then it looked very tasty if not a little expensive and the views and atmosphere up there were really nice. Think any hotel in Rome would be the same but you do hear emergency sirens constantly so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.
Clean and spacious with nice breakfast, Rome Termini and city sites not far, great location.
The elevators a bit slow and small, but a least they have them, and they worked fine.
The property is only an 8 minute walk from Roma Termini and close to many shops, eateries, and churches. The hotel itself has great amenities and I enjoyed the beautiful bathrooms and balcony views.
Great location and very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable. Stayed for 4 nights and it worked well. Air con worked properly.
Rooms are a little on the small side but not a major issue.
Good location, clean room, perfect roof top bar
Breakfast
The Major Hotel is very well located, being near Termini train station (about 5mins walk). The room had a large super-comfy bed and the bathroom was very spacious. The breakfast at the hotel had a really good choice of hot and cold dishes. We would certainly recommenfd this hotel for a stay in Rome. Most of the major attractions are walkable from the hotel which was a real bonus.
It was in an excellent location next to Saint Mary Major and had lots of transport options nearby. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly.
