Pros +
- The location to Termni station was nice.
- Room and bathroom was very clean. Bed made daily.Service was fantastic- they let me check in early, around midday, and held my bag for me on the day of checkout.Air-conditioning worked very well in room. No problems with bathroom.Unlike other reviews, the room itself was not too small. Just not well laid out so have to squeeze to get past bed. But more than fine!Great Location.
- The location is perfect with lots of buss connectionsClean, queit at night, fair value for money. Fridge in the room, free extrass like teas and coffee and hot water
Cons -
- We were moved 3 times. The first night they were overbooked and put us in another hotel (which was better than Hotel Baltic). The second night we were put into a room without air conditioning and with one bed - we requested two. Never again.
- Soundproofing was the greatest issue. Could hear guests staying next door. Fortunately other guests were very respectful of quiet times. No safe in room. But more than fair for price of the room.
- Our room was a bit dark, due to the specific window location and if someone makes noise in the corridor, you can hear it too well.

very friendly staff, you also have a free coffee and tea in guesthouse at all times.
Everything is exellent, only soundproofing in the room could be better.
The staff working here are incredibly kind, helpful and genuinely delightful! The bed was very comfortable, the sheets and towels were perfectly clean. The location is ideal, Of course, in the morning you can hear the street, scooters, cars, and the occasional police siren, but I think you can easily consider it part of the local 'tourist experience' I definitely recommend this lovely little hotel. At the reception there is also a small kitchenette that guests can use, with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and always fresh cookies, which is a really nice touch.
I liked the location and friendliness of most of the staff, apart from the owner himself. For a cheap place to sleep it's all right if you won't be spending much time in the room
The owner got a weird attitude with me a couple times. Things are a bit rough around the edges to say the least
Location and staff
there is no electric kettle in the room
The first thing I’d like to mention is that the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Whenever I had a question or an issue, there was always someone available to assist me. One day when I came back, my bed had been made, but none of my belongings had been touched — that gave me a real sense of trust. Later, I mentioned that I didn’t need that service, and they responded with the same friendly attitude.I can say the location is perfect in every way. You can easily walk both to the train station and to anywhere else you need to go. There’s also a supermarket and a place to buy cigarettes very close by. I got around everywhere on foot. My room was small, but honestly, it was more than enough for me since I only used it for sleeping. My window looked directly out onto the street, and I really enjoyed watching what was happening outside. If I ever come back to Rome, I’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you very much.
The location was great, and the check-in process was very easy and fast. Even more, the host kindly allowed me to stay one extra day when my flight was heavily delayed - I really appreciated that!
However, the property still has a lot to improve. The bed was too soft - it felt like sinking into snow when sleeping. The air conditioner didn’t work, so I had to keep the window open to get some fresh air, which wasn’t very pleasant because of the heavy traffic noise outside.I only met the room service once on the first day; during the following four days, the room was not cleaned, and the towels and sheets were not changed.I can recommend this hotel only if you’re on a tight budget or have no other options available.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They almost cleaned the room every day. The neighborhood felt safe and was conveniently located near several great restaurants.
There weren’t any power outlets near the bed, and the fridge would turn off whenever I left the room. Since my room faced the street, it was also a bit noisy.
Baltik Guest House in Rome is a very good and pleasant place to stay. Simple, modest, budget accomodation but clean, comfortable , quiet and very well run. 24 h staff at the reception, they were super kind and helpful. It is located in a good neighborhood with nice restaurants, cafes, gelatteria and supermarkets around the corner. Walking distance to the Colosseum-foro, Santa Maria Maggiore, Campidoglio, etc, only 10 minutes from Termini station, and connected to other main areas of Rome by public transport. I would definitely stay at Baltik Guest House again.

Loved it there, I arrived around 9 in the morning and they were able to give me a room right away. The staff was very sweet and helped me out a lot. The place itself was in a great location and there were a lot of good restaurants and cafes nearby. Overall recommend for all!
It’s kept an old world charm and is located in a very posh and central area. The staff is warm and friendly and extremely courteous.
Everything was really good and the stuff was really helpful, offered me free coffee and water, kept my luggage safe.
The cost was really over priced comparing with the other hotel in same area
Very friendly & kind stuff. Earlier Check-in was possible.
Often no hot water. 24hrs reception was very loud. Power outlet didn’t work.
Very good guesthouse! Close to the city center and the owners are super nice and helpful! I recommend it to the all female solo travelers!
Good location near Termini and touristic locations. Bed and pillow were good. Nice value for money.
Proximity to transport into the major sites of Rome was great.. it was also easily walkable to many areas. Local restaurants way more affordable than those next to major sites. Room was clean and well equipped. Tea/ coffee and microwave very appreciated
Nothing springs out as a bad feature
Good location decent room for the money. Felt comfortable and had everything I needed. Half hour walk to most places and 15 minutes to the nearest metro station.
For a 6ft man the shower was a bit cramped but could still shower. The sound proofing wasn’t great and could hear everything in the corridor so not great in the middle of the night but you get what you pay for.
