About
Hotel Farnese is a luxury hotel in the heart of Prati, one of Rome's most elegant districts, set between the Vatican City and Piazza del Popolo. The hotel is located only 20 yards from Lepanto Metro stop and is close to main shopping areas and tourist attractions. Set in a completely renovated building of the early 19th century, the Farnese boasts elegant furnishings that include many artistic objects from the 17th century. Relax in the graceful hotel entrance and lobby where you can admire antique furniture, and a historic portrait of Pope Paul III Farnese. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with a view of Roman roof tops and St. Peter's Dome in the background.

Pros +
- The location was excellent and within walking distance of notable points of interest such as the Vatican and Colosseum. The front desk provided great suggestions of places to eat in the area.
- The hotel was absolutely charming, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the location was near the metro and a major shopping strip, the breakfast was fantastic, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous ~ We were extremely pleased with our stay!
- Small but lovely; excellent buffet breakfast.
Cons -
- It's an older building and a bit dated. The on-site parking was good, however, you have to give the front desk your keys because they park you in an alley behind the hotel and the staff will have to move other cars to get to yours.
- Basement rooms suck.
- Older property. Older items in room and bathroom.

Everything
Good location, about 15-20 minute walk from many sites and restaurants.
Older property. Older items in room and bathroom.
The staff was very welcoming and accessible. We especially loved seeing Heidi, the furry friend of the desk clerk. The breakfast room is lovely with a nice view and the staff was wonderful.
Comfortable bed, nice balcony
Shower wasn’t greatCharge for water!
I don’t know why they get 4 stars The bed was awful they don’t have king bed they put 2 single bed next to each other the breakfast was terrible and they don’t have anything not even coffee bar they have also a lots of stairs in entrance and if you have luggage’s you need to take them by yourself The bed sheet also was so itchy we wanted to cancel it but bcz all over near hotel was fully booked we didn’t have the chance But please don’t waste your money and don’t get this hotel
They Dosent have coffe bar They Dosent have king bed They’d Dosent have comfortable bed sheet it was itchy They also Dosent have the access card and you must give them the room keys when you wanted to go out and you didn’t have any choices to put don’t bother or don’t come to the rooms So I mean the 1 star also it’s too much for them
Generally ok but besides the great location it is certainly not a 4 stars but more a 3 stars.
Breakfast was not good. Everything was pretty stale.
Location was good and room was excellent
The downstairs bar area was small and bar selection was very limited.

Shower in bathroom not working properly
Was a bit disappointed the photo looked better than reality, old run down the towels and linen needs to be changed.
From the lobby to the room needs up grading, vasa broken and more
It is a nice hotel with great location, very nice staff. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious. It is clean and we got good bathroom products.the staff was very helpful and kind
The breakfast should have better bakery and a bit more healthy options.the bakery was very bad unfortunately (especially considering that we were in Italy). It would be good to have more veggies and juices and also proper eggs(not from powder)The hotel was not renovated for a while but it is still very clean but I guess a renovation will be needed in a few years .
Beautiful room with amazing balcony. Fabulous included breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Huge spread with vintage china, gorgeous plants, and fun staff. The lobby and guest terrace were stunning. Friendly staff & the owners dog “Heidi” greeted us each day. 24 hour reception. We were surprised to enjoy watching lots of green parrots in the surrounding trees from our balcony. Very nice part of Rome (Prati) with art neuvo flair.
Our only issue was the safe in the room. It had issued, but they fixed it for us.
Classoc style hotel with good location.
Bad breakfasts, old hotel...
Location, ambiance of the room, staff was friendly and helpful.
The eggs at breakfast didn’t taste like top quality.
Location, charm, clean and comfortableDesk staff kind and always available night and day
Expensive, breakfast lady grumpy
Great location in a beautiful residential area of Rome. The hotel is very close to the metro and close to some major attractions of the city. Great breakfast was provided every morning on a beautiful rooftop terrace from which the dome of St. Peter's Basilica was visible. Staff was also helpful and friendly.
The triple room was somewhat small and did not have its own balcony.
The location is fantastic - in a residential area and close to a great shopping street and the river/tourist attractions. The roof terrace is beautiful, and the staff are helpful and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable. I recommend the balcony rooms.
There was nothing I didn't like.
