Pros +
- Great location and quick access to metro & major sights.
- Good enough hotel for the price. Decent room size, good bathroom. Location is not super central, but only a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum, or a 5 minute walk to Manzoni metro station which connects directly to Termini, the Spanish steps and the Vatican.
- The cleanliness and the location Easy to access, the bed was comfy and the room was cozy
Cons -
- Staff members not very flexible or accommodating. Also told different things by different staff members. Not the best customer service experience to be honest. Room smaller than pictured. Breakfast not worth buying.
- You hear every sound, particularly from our room (#12) right next to the reception. We were woken up every morning by the sound of the other guests (loudly) going to breakfast. Not only the hotel's fault, but could be an issue if you're a light sleeper.
- Additional wait time for check-in, mold in bathroom ceiling. Needs more signs for clarity.

Spacious room, good air conditioning, very nice staff

It's a decent cozy and modest hotel relatively close to the metro or the trams. Supermarket nearby.
There is a complimantary breakfast but consists only of carbohydrates. The central heating did not work supposedly due to the muicipality's order (but the A-C provided enough heat). The instructions for bulding's entry are somewhat misleading.
the staff is very accomodating. the place is clean and good service.
I loved the quickness and politeness to any issue or question I had. The communication was available 24/7. There courtesy breakfast was cute and delicious. It felt safe and comfortable at all time. Customer first ambiance
I know it's Europe and the rooms are small so I have NOTHING TO COMPLAIN about. A ten in my book
The staff was great, helpful and welcoming
Air conditioner on our terrace was making a lot of noise and it was hard to sleep.
The people working here is helpful, responsive and friendly. They provided very basic breakfast. The community seems to be a safe living area.
The vent in the bathroom is not powerful so you need to open the window in the bedroom area to let the humidity out which is not very convenient in a winter stay for a group of 4 people. If you got loud "neighbours" then earplug will be useful.
We were told they were serving breakfast, but when we went down there was almost nothing there, just coffee, but no cups. There were no staff members there to ask for cups, either. So everyone left without breakfast. It was a very noisy building, the floors were rustling, you could hear everything, like other guests coming and going, or someone upstairs opening a door or turning on the water tap.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Espana. The room was decent in size and comfortable for a couple, and the breakfast was good.A special thanks to Kimia – she went above and beyond to make our stay smooth. On our arrival, we needed to check in via a different location, and with just a single message, she came all the way to the Room gates, opened the door, and allowed us to store our bags before we got our room key. She also responded very quickly the next night to help fix the internet. Her assistance truly made our stay stress-free and memorable. We highly recommend Hotel Espana for anyone visiting Rome!
It was very well located, the room was comfortable and clean.
That you’re in walking distance to stores, restaurants, metro and a 15/20 minute walk to the colosseum. You get a gate code to enter the hotel, the staff is friendly and they offer free breakfast.
Everything was great here.
Close to downtown so easy to get around.
All the stairs with luggage and no elevator, no air conditioning, listing said 3 beds and it was only 2 beds. Toilet flusher leaked on our arms when we flushed.
We had a good stay here - it was exactly what we needed - a bolt hole to explore the city. Walking distance to many of Rome's attractions. Room was small, but adequate and comfortable. Would stay again.
Hotel staff were very cordial and helpful. We appreciate their help and support. Specially , will like to mention about the extended support from Michela (front desk ). Thanks to all of them.
The place is close to bus and metro to the main attractions, with many local restaurants. We especially appreciate the flexibility and convenience of the luggage service, which allowed us to walk freely. The breakfast service is also quite comfortable.
Very close to colosseum and very central.Very Clean and breakfast is good for a 3 stars hotel.
I recommend only for a very short stay of one or two nights. It is very hard to sleep as the acoustics are not great for the old building it is. We can hear people talking / walking the stairs/ showers etc...
Complimentary coffee was a nice touch and staff was really nice and helpful.
Location was not the best, although the bus and metro stops are near. The street is super dark at night, we had to walk with our phone's lamps on.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, I got gluten-free breakfast , everything was great
The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
