DOM Hotel Roma - Preferred Hotels & Resorts

We booked a room for two people although our daughter was with us making 3 of us..they agreed to upgrade us to a suite with an extra bed..it seems in Italy rooms are only for two people max.. Thanks..very nice rooms

The location is fantastic as is the decor.

Air conditioning went out on one of the nights due to a technical issue where they needed to order a part. The hotels response to this was less than ideal. They kept giving us the run-around and took about 6 hours before giving us an honest status update

The hotel has such charm. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, the rooms were gorgeous.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dom Hotel in Rome. The hotel is located in a charming, quiet little neighborhood near the Tiber River, Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. We had a very spacious room, the king size bed was lovely and oh so comfortable. The room had all the comforts we needed, included large fluffy towels, a well stocked mini bar, safe, plenty of storage and a Nespresso coffee machine. The staff at the hotel were charming and so friendly, each and every one of them made us feel welcomed and appreciated. We enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning, the cocktail bar in the evening and their lovely restaurant for dinner. The food was top notch, and delicious. The Dom has a lovely rooftop bar with great views of the city. The rooftop bar was not open during our stay (February) but it would be very fun to enjoy during the warmer months. We would absolutely come back to stay at the Dom Hotel again while in Rome, and recommend it highly to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, luxury stay in the eternal city.

The bathroom could use more lighting, they were a bit dark and difficult to put on makeup in the mornings.

Lovely ambience, great location, staff excellent - indeed they were faultless. Happy, smiling, willing to help, warm welcome.

Very little. The room is showing small amounts of wear and tare - the shower for example felt as though it might need looking at soon. But these are small points only.

Breakfast was very good. All the Staff were helpful, friendly and charming in the morning and the evening. Location is terrific with most sites within walking distance.

Since I need to write something, I’d add a coffee machine to the room.

No hot water. After 4 complaints, the responsible staff person lied and said Italian law required the boiler to be no more than 50C and that hot water in the room was limited to 43C, which it wasnt anway as videos we took show our hands placed under full hot water from the tap without any pain. At best it was tepid. Our intelligence was entirely insulted.

Staff are fantastic, very friendly with excellent English but happy for you to try your broken Italian if you want. I wish I had written down the names of the staff so I could thank them by name in this review as they deserve it. They also gave us great suggestions for local restaurants. The rooftop restaurant Verve is brilliant. We had an amazing 6 course degustation meal there and I highly recommend you try it. Hotel is on a quiet street, and rooms are whisper quiet yet walking distance to the Centro and also the Trastevere to eat at night (which I highly recommend). I would also mention the hotel very thoughtfully advised me of a transportation strike the day of my departure and organised a taxi for me. That is excellent service as I wouldn't have known otherwise. Finally, I had room 24 which has a private terrace. It was amazing, and if you are happy to splurge a little, it is well worth it. Had friends over for drinks as the sun set over the Rome rooftops and created some brilliant memories.

Water pressure and temperature of the shower could be upped a little. Lift wasn't working when I was there, but I didn't mind using the stairs at all as the hotel ambience is so nice. Any bags or heavier items were gladly taken care of by the staff.

Location was fantastic.

Breakfast was marginal. We rented a suit. It did not have a coffee maker, and water was charged. Most suits we rent include coffee makers and gratuitous room items, except alcohol.

The staff were amazing, they were friendly and so helpful when our flight was delayed by 16 hours.

The hotel had a lovely feel about it. Our room was lovely with a large terrace, so we took advantage and had room service breakfasts in the open air. The Verve Restaurant was also very nice, we ate there twice on our stay.
