The property is spacious and clean, air conditioning working in every room.The staff was super helpful and very attentive, accommodating an extra person last minute was very flawless. It is 10 min walking from Vatican, lots of restaurants and shops near by. It is at the sixth floor and we have noisy boys, was not a problem for them to run around. Overall very good!

The lift works only with keys both ways, so everyone have to leave the house at the same time.

Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was spacious, clean and the breakfast that was offered was great. Would definitely stay here again.

The location of Place 217 is fantastic for visiting the Vatican & Castel S'Angelo and our teenager enjoyed that it was near great shopping. The apartment has lots of room and plenty of coffee pods :). We enjoyed that it had 3 bathrooms so everyone could get ready at the same time and the elevator was definitely appreciated after a long day of walking!

The staff is unbelievably kind and helpful.

The elevator didn’t go to top leaving older people to struggle with luggage for a flight of stairs

Everything really, the location was great and the staff were exceptional. Also it is very clean and the breakfast is very good.

Wonderful small boutique hotel. It’s centrally located, very clean, quiet with a comfortable bed and great shower with a rain head and spray jets. Breakfast was delicious with good selections. Best of all were the warm, gracious and lovely staff. They couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. They made several dinner reservations for us, booked a taxi back to the airport, and accommodated our early departure with a to-go breakfast.

Elevator only goes up to the fifth floor so you have to carry your bags to the 6th floor where the hotel is located. The last set of steps are shallow and we found them easy to navigate, but it might be an issue if you travel with a lot of luggage.

The location was Central to so many things. The staff was prepared and ready for you when you arrived and took care of you while you were there. I especially liked how they offered scrambled eggs in the morning.

Room was good. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great.

If you have mobility issues, there are steps to get to elevator and steps after you get off the elevator.

Location 13 minutes walking to the Vatican.

They do not offer service to clean , I must say the madam who received us is great, she does everything on her end to assist

The two bedroom apartment was very spacious and well equipped with 3 bathrooms, a kitchen/living area, an espresso machine and some small breakfast items. It was also helpful that we could leave our luggage after we checked out. The staff is very friendly and helpful and accessible by phone.

Getting up to the apartment was a little complicated at first and requires 5 different keys. The elevator only holds 2 people at a time. However, once you do it a couple of times, it’s fine. The mattresses on the beds were not that comfortable but everything else was very nice.

We loved the location. We adored the hosts. The breakfast was amazing ? The spa room was incredible

Clean room.

A/C not working during extremely hot weather and hotel did not notify us before we arrived giving us no opportunity to make other arrangements. Room was very hot at night and unusable during the day. Hotel assured us that it would be fixed the following day — it was not and I am not confident that any attempt to fix was actually made. Hotel moved us to a “sister” property — which they should have done in the first place, or at least found alternative accommodations.

Very close to Vatican city and metro bus stop right next to the stay to take bus to colosseum and other popular destinations. Very private and the elevator was helpful to go up-to 5th floor. Staffs very amazing, two ladies during our stay took care of us very well, totally forgot their names. All the staffs were very welcoming and friendly. One staff helped my wife to carry a heavy bag that she was struggling.

The apartment was exceptional on all counts. Me and my family were spending a short time in Rome and this location didn’t disappoint: the staff were super helpful, friendly and very accommodating to all our needs. The apartment was very spacious, modern, and clean! Loved it and would definitely recommend to any family.

Nothing to fault!

This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. It is strategically located near the Vatican, only 10 Minutes walk to the St. Peter's Basilica and Vatican Museum and a few minutes walk to the Ottaviano Metro Station. There are lots of Restaurants, Bars, Grocery Stores and Shops scattered around the area.We booked for a Double Superior Room but we were surprised our room was upgraded to a Junior Suit Spa. The huge room was immaculate, very clean and has a distict charm, the wooden ceiling is just lovely. The view overlooking the Saint Peter's Dome is a big surpise. The bathroom/spa room, equipped with a Jacuzzi and a Finish Sauna,  is even bigger than the bedroom itself. The Jacuzzi was a treat after a long day of walking during a hot summer day. Most of the staffs are Filipinos. No wonder, they are very friendly, professional and very attentive of our needs. Special mention to the young guy at the reception who gave us a very warm welcome (unfortunatey I could not remember his name), to Pauline and Maple.The breakfast was something to look forward to. With great variety, it offers fresh, high quality products and the Staff gave an excellent service.My only concern was the airconditioning in our room, we could not adjust it based on our desired temperature, especially during a hot summer day.But over all, it was a fantastic stay. The Place 217 is really a gem at the heart of Rome. If you get the chance to book a room at this small lovely hotel,  take the chance and you won't definitely get disappointed.

Terrific staff, and very accommodating. The facilities were superb and spotless including the room and the common sitting room. This was the most comfortable bed we both have slept in in a hotel in Italy, and we have stayed at many. The breakfast was truly outstanding. It would have held up well at a restaurant with a Michelin star. We stayed here for proximity to an appointment, but it was blocks away from the Vatican and on a street with plenty of shopping, cafes, and restaurants. Highly recommend.

We absolutely LOVED our time here. We were traveling on our honeymoon and the staff there were so welcoming and provided a wonderful atmosphere. We loved the neighborhood it was very walkable, the vatican was roughly a 10 minute walk while other popular attractions were a 30 minute walk. We had an early train on our departure day and staff were accommodating with leaving grab and go pastries in our room. The bed was very comfortable we got wonderful rest!! Please book here if you have the chance!

My only complaint is the shower drain was clogged which left standing water while using.

The location was very close to Vatican. The bathroom was huge with a hot tub and a sauna (we only used hot tub). The room itself was spacious but had minimal storage space. The breakfast area was lovely and we enjoyed the variety of food. The young man at the front reception was extremely helpful and made our stay really good.

The very tiny fridge didn’t really work so we couldn’t cool our drinks. Our biggest complaint is that the air conditioning stopped working (we did let the reception know) and we got very poor sleep as a result the last night of our stay (we were flying to another country the next day). We really did expect a working fridge and working a/c (July in Rome can be really hot) at this price range.
