Cons -
- Worst place ever! Stay away of this mouse trap. It shouldn't call a hotel, a/c not working, ceiling fan, not working and temperature was very high and the staff won't care about it
- Need some update
- No water glass, boiling kettle in the room. Room is a bit dark. Bed is so hard. An old hotel that needs renovation.

We got a last minute booking, pretty clean, walking distance to train station
Bare bones
The location is very good.
The room was far too small, with no space to store large luggage, which made our stay very uncomfortable. On the first night, we were provided only a small bar of soap and a single roll of toilet paper, and we had to request more the following night. The building itself is quite old and in need of maintenance, and the elevator was especially concerning—it felt so outdated that I didn’t feel safe using it, worried it might stop at any moment.
Its proximity to Termini is the best part. It’s a no frills place to sleep for a night our two to be near termini. If you’re planning a long term stay in Rome you might be disappointed, but it’s fine for what it is.
We enjoyed our stay. I would say the quality is that of like a 2 star roadside hotel in the U.S. If you’re expectations are set correctly and you’re not expecting much more than a place to shower and sleep for a day or two, you’ll find this place works just fine.
This was a great placw for the value. It was very clean, and the location was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere from it and there are many restaurants around it. We would definitely stay here again when in Rome. The staff was very nicr, as well.
Basic facility to rest for the night. Location is perfect, near main train/metro/bus station. Walking distance to colosseum, even Vatican.
Not supplied properly with soap, towels, toilet paper.
Francesco was so kind since our arrival, specially with my mother that is handicap. The hotel offers a good proposition for those traveling in family and very well located. Thanks Francesco to make it even better.
I recently stayed at Altavilla 9 and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The room was spotless, well-furnished, and had a beautiful view. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and quiet atmosphere, which made for a great night’s sleep. The location is perfect close to restaurants and public transports. I highly recommended this hotel
Room, location
NOTHING - It was the terrible accommodation experience ever.
This hotel is definitely not a two-star hotel; it was like a hostel. Please don't be fooled by the number of photos they show. The room I rented was not as clean and well-maintained as in the photo. One wall of the room had drawn water and the toilet had a leak from somewhere. Fitting in the shower and toilet was a miracle.. The room is very small and everything is cramped. The sound of renovations and the people waiting for the elevator were also unbearable. There is much more to write, but I do not want to prolong it. I had rented a room for two days, but before the second day, I checked out in the morning. I definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I have never had such a bad experience.
I’m traveling often to Rome and after many hotels/b&b is a year that I only stop in here, very good position (walk distance to the train station)very clean rooms and very kind people working in the hotel. In every room were I was I found ac, fridge comfortable bed and tv, the forniture is basic but functionally.the toilet are fine and clean as well and the lift is one of the biggest I saw in this old building around the train station.
We were pleased with the hotel. It was very close to the train station. We arrived at the hotel in the evening and were cold. Francesso offered us coffee and welcomed us very warmly. He was created for us on the map of Rome. Although we bought a room, they offered breakfast on the first day. Everything is good. We will come. Thank you for everything.
The hotel was a little old but us room cleaned every day.
The location was very nice. Restaurants and shops were all in close proximity. The central station is 5 min walk. The street is lively and safe.
The response to the issue being faced. We had flush issue in our bathroom. It did not flush, the bathtub was missing the closing cap, hence for the entire stay we could not use the toilet and bathtub. Although we brought this to the notice of the receptionist, it will still not resolved. It was very upsetting.
This is the second time we stayed at this hotel It did not disappoint us great hotel and great staff
Every thing was centric and secure I love and recommend this hotel A+++
Only the location
1. Staff is not helpful when we asked how we can get to the airport except by taxi. He only said he didn’t know.2. Staff force us to hand in our room key before we walked out of the door even we were still staying there for 3 nights. When we got back at night, our room door was opened as the picture shown, we complained about it to the reception night staff, he didn’t know anything and not helpful, we didn’t feel safe to stay at that hotel, making sure you don’t leave any valuable items in the room and be alert at night while you are sleeping, just in case someone broke into your room while sleeping.3. Very old and dirty, if you have long hair and tried to dry your hair, you will need dry maximum 5mins and stop for 5mins, otherwise it will make the whole room power off, the hot water system is very old fashion, after the first one taking shower, you will need to wait for the water boil again and the next one can take hot shower during the winter
Close to train station.
Room is small. Only beds, no coffee machine.
Good location, good lift size
The double bed in the room 41 was very uncomfortable.
Location was super really close to termini station and also to some nice pubs
Maybe a bit pricy
